Hi, I had a reading on sat night and was told (I did ask) that my papa is half in spirit world and that he would pass this side of the year. I'm a bit worried as my dad doesn't visit him very often, and I know I will feel guilty if he does pass and I didn't tell my dad that I knew and I could have avoided him not seeing him prior to passing. How can I find out, one: if it's true, and two: should I tell my dad? Xxx

Dear Dianne, I do not believe that anyone can predict when another person will pass into spirit. No medium worth their salt, would ever have said such a thing. I believe, there is an unwritten rule that our spirit friends adhere too. And that is, Not to reveal too much about the future, especially about something that is so uncertain, and subject to too many variables.
It may be that the medium picked up on the fact that your Papa is not well. But still, her words to you should have been more about the importance of spending time with those we love, especially if they are of an age where time is more precious. That if you as a family, do not tend to see much of your Grandfather, he would benefit from and appreciate seeing more of you all.
I personally would say nothing to your father about the medium predicting when your Papa would pass. You could reword the message you convey to him, to show that the medium picked up on your Papa being unwell and that they suggested your Papa would really appreciate and benefit from seeing more of his son and the rest of you. That your company and support while he is not feeling well would be welcome.
I feel the original message would only unnecessarily upset and worry your father. Make his behaviour when he was around your Papa seem odd and out of character. Worrying your Papa, and putting thoughts in his head, that need not be there. I can see this has has also upset and worried you too. I don't know what state of health your Papa is in. But even doctors cannot predict with any kind of accuracy how long someone will live for, even if they have a chronic terminal illness.
My advice to you would be to see this as a reminder, that 'non of us' live forever. To spend more time with those we love. To show each other daily, how much we care and how important they are to us. We all take those we love for granted, we are all guilty of thinking we have all the time in the world. When in truth, non of us knows what the future holds.
In my opinion, what the medium said to you was totally inappropriate. I would also be very skeptical about the mediumistic ability of anyone who showed such a lack of tact and sensitivity.
