THERE ARE NO ATHEISTS IN THE FOX HOLES AND THERE ARE NO CHRISTIANS AT THE SUPERMARKETS.

I am not sure what that means even though I am the author. Sounds a bit irreverent in a way. Maybe someone else can give me an explanation. My take is that desperation is hard on us but comfort leaves us to abandon our higher instincts. You prey for survival but then eat to get fat and lazy. All I know is the Chaplain did visit me in the hospital but when I survived and went grocery shopping the only thing I cared about was to get the best price on Hormel Chile with Beans.

It's funny the things you agonize over at certain times and places ......

Moderation is the key. There's no reason why you can't eat your chile and still loose weight. There's no need to deny God, but keep an open mind to the possibility.
