Imho The mind can handle a lot. Even when faced with difficult challenges. The mind is like a tree with branches extending outward. Reality is based on the five senses. And everytime we use those senses like read, play games, and so on, we extend our branches even more. Some people are just a stump and do not or cannot extend their branches. Being a stump has it's advantages. You tend to keep things close; not needing to extend. Stumps also have strong values and are closer to the truth than any tree. Big trees with many branches are the quick and fun people. They love to grow and find life meaningful; always ready, always full of spirit. Criss crossing branches from neighboring trees confuse and excite; every tree is different. The mind is also fragile. When faced with a challenge too dificult to process it goes into flight or fight mode. Each mode is equally effective and is a personal choice. The mind quickly goes into one of these modes when there is a huge challenge that the mind can't comprehend. It just makes sense. There is no time for understanding and no time for getting resources; there is just quick and effective action.
