This experience occurred last year 2011, while kayaking (4) hours upstream on the Tallowa Dam, in Kangaroo Valley Australia. One of my favourite pastimes is kayaking. The peace and quiet that’s found when miles away from the rat race is magnificent.
My brother phoned me one afternoon to ask if my wife and I had time to go away camping for the weekend, in which kayaking is involved. At that moment we did have time to ourselves so we immediately jumped to his invitation. My brother - his wife plus my wife and I have been doing this camping thing for at least six years now, and we have found it incredibly rewarding. Not only for the peace and quiet, but of the visions and visitations we receive in places like this.
We do not openly declare our good fortune of the things experienced, as he stays quiet telling no one whereas I prefer to write of them, though under a different name of course. Early next morning we packed some things including our tent, food and plenty of drinking water, because where we were going would be miles from everything including a phone tower. So if anything tragic does occur, we would be in real trouble not being able to use our mobile phones. But still we did had faith that everything would be ok and we would be looked after.
Less than one hour into our journey for some seconds only, I held a vision which astounded me to say the least.
I will try to give you a description of this vision so you can create an image in your mind of what I saw. The vision was of a living Goddess, and yet she looked to be a statue of solid granite rock with pale green moss markings. She wore a long robe which doubled up at the feet and at the end of the sleeves. Her both hands were clasp together over her heart and she wore a strange looking crown, something similar to the Statue of Liberty, but not as pointy.
The crown was not on the head but behind and around it similar to a halo (but not a halo). She had long flowing hair and held a compassionate loving smile. What astounded me most was her height, at least 20 foot high and she stood on top of the water. I knew immediately that she was the Goddess of this river – forest and mountain area. I spoke at length of this vision to my brother and wondered why she had appeared to me the way she did. We have learnt through the years that behind every act there is a genuine purpose for it.
I was given the answer to this a week later when meditating, which I believe is not relevant here. There is more to this story especially the night before our journey, but because of my schedule I could only give this in brief. Maybe later I will tell the rest. Though the moral of this story is very relevant, as it shows there definitely is a god or goddess above and in charge of everything throughout creation, no matter how small there is always something governing over it.
