Does anybody know of any political candidates who are worth voting for? I'm afraid I have no suggestions. The more I look the more dismayed I am. Is there anybody with a more spiritual view of politics?

At a certain level spirituality and politics may be contradictory. The reason being if we live in a secular society we must make decisions based on many life styles so that we neither exclude nor coerce anybody. Including some not so spiritual persons.
At another level I stubbornly think there is a universal code for everything including morals. A true statesman can not be morally bankrupt and hope to accomplish anything. The very definition of that connotes a successful system or one we are proud to be a part of. And yes I am afraid that boils down to the constituents who vote and less then the ones voted for. Some of these candidates that promise more then they could ever deliver I would be ashamed to vote for.
As it is I always vote for some what obscure third party candidates and I have never been ashamed to admit that.

I'd like to vote for Ron Paul, but he keeps withdrawing. I don't believe in the whole "vote for one of these two candidates or your throwing your vote away" philosophy. Even so I still have trouble finding somebody to vote for.

LibraMoon, I like your ideas. The American people have been disenfranchised. All we have to go on are worthless campaign promises that the politicians routinely break with impunity. I think Americans are far too tolerant of politicians in general.
