Musick has Charms to sooth a savage Breast, To soften Rocks, or bend a knotted Oak. I've read, that things inanimate have mov'd, And, as with living Souls, have been inform'd, By Magick Numbers and persuasive Sound. What then am I? Am I more senseless grown Than Trees, or Flint? O force of constant Woe!This is part of a poem that was originally from the play ‘The Mourning Bride’ written by William Congreve in 1697. I love the words to this poem and I think it can relate to all diversities including spirituality depending on how you perceive it. I love music and I completely agree that the musical vibrations carry energy as with all sounds, but music can move our spirits sometimes more so than words. I can’t even begin to imagine a world without music. I’m not just talking about the music that is composed and played by musical instruments either, but nature’s music too, I love to hear the birds singing, wolves howling, whales calling...the wind whistling through the trees or the raindrops drumming upon my window pane or the rhapsody of the ocean, all in a corus of passion and devotion and all part of creation. Is this energy enough to lead to peace one day? I don’t know if music alone will lead us to peace but I believe it certainly helps with raising our vibrations. Thank you for the post unfortunately I was unable to open your link. Love and Light
