Dream of sinking toilet and washing machine

Hi everyone,
I had a very disturbing dream the other night. I dreamt I was at a party and it was for one of my dearest friends. I went to the bathroom and sat down on the toilet and it sank into the floor by about 2-3 inches. I felt panicked - I checked underneath the toilet and it was very clean but I could see that the toilet was being held up by just these thin pieces of metal screwed into it and then screwed to the floor. It showed evidence that it had "broken" before. I needed to go out and get my friend but I was so worried - I also noticed that there was a washing machine next to the toilet and it had sank into the floor as well.
I went out into the busy room looking for my friend but could not find her. When I came back in, she was there with her arms crossed and angry with me. I said I just sat down on it and it fell through, that I didn't do anything out of the ordinary but she was still very upset with me. Then her aunt and uncle came in, visibly upset as well and said that they'd have to call the plumber and that this was the 4th time this had happened - they were very annoyed with me. I felt terrible and just left the party.

In your dream you are at a party. Parties in dream symbology are about celebration. Initiation, graduation in which you have reached a new level or phase in your life. You have learned well so it is a time to be joyous and celebrate.

You are surrounded by your friends people you like. In dreams the people within the dream on one level all represent an aspect of the dreamer. So this to me would indicate that in life at the moment for the most part you are happy with where you are at in this moment and liking who you are. Especially if this has come after a period of uncertainty and some anxiety.

You go up to the bathroom to use the toilet. Bathrooms in dreams represent cleansing, and eliminating of the old. Toilets are also about eliminating. They are connected to cleansing the self of unwanted and unneeded past experiences. Releasing and letting go, forgiving. If the toilet is blocked or there is a problem with it, then it may indicate that you are having some problems with doing this. Ask yourself. Is there something or someone from my past who I am trying to let go of but cannot? Is there something from the past, or some experience from the past, still affecting my life now?

This might manifest itself in relationships, or life attitudes. Do you find it difficult to trust? Do you find yourself comparing a situation or a person in the present to something or someone you once knew? Can you see where I am going with this?

You think the toilet is broken. This may indicate that on some level, your own ability to work through any problems carried forward into the present is impeded. Maybe you need some help! Counseling can be a very affective means of doing this. Something for you to consider, if you feel this is relevant to your life at the moment.

You look for your friend but can't find her at first. This may indicate that not only are you finding it difficult to get past whatever it is that you are still hanging on too. But around you there is no one to whom you can confide in about it. Or maybe you have talked it through so much in they have become impatient with you. Whatever the reason, the message from the dream is that you feel yourself that there is a lack of inner help and outer assistance at this time.

Sometimes those we care for and who care for us are not always the right people to help us move forward. Especially if it is connected to a problem or issue that has over time affected everyone around you. This is when it might be beneficial to talk to someone who has no connection to you. They can be unbiased and detached enough to give you some good advice.

It is interesting that they talk about getting a plumber in. As plumbing is connected to the inner system of cleansing and releasing. Indicating a suppressing of emotions to avoid facing something that is holding you back from moving on. This again for me is an affirmation that there is something that needs releasing and you are having problems doing it by yourself.
