The question I'm posing is if Jesus intended to start a new religion why would he go through all the trouble of allowing himself to be crucified and not bother to write anything down?
The earliest book in the new testament is probably Galatians. Unfortunately, Paul did not get around to writing Galatians until about 50 years after the crucifixion. So if Jesus never wrote anything down, if the authors of the new testament never met Jesus, and if Rome destroyed most of the early Christian works to redefine Christianity in their image, how can a Christian claim that the new testament is accurate?
Today we have hundreds of different Bibles, and tens of thousands of branches of Christianity. Most claim that they are right and the other guy has it wrong. How is a fella supposed to make sense of it?

Jesus didn't come to start a new religion, He came to have a relationship with us..Man has made it into a religion the books of Peter were written by Peter..Peter was one of the disciples of Christ. Jesus didn't have to write anything down bc He was the living letter if the law..He was crucified so that we would have freedom and would no longer be held captive to the laws in the Old Testament..when He died it switched from law into kingdom..in the od testament they had strict laws to follow..laws that were so strict that people were put to death if they didn't abide by them...that's why the priest would offer sacrifices to God on behalf of the people bc it was the blood that cleansed sin...when Jesus died he was the sacrifice and we no longer have to go to a priest for the cleansing of our sins we go straight to Jesus..He is the high priest...we r still held accountable for the Ten Commandments they r written in stone but when u break one if those commandments and you will, Jesus forgives u...does that mean u can continue to keep doing the same thing over and over again? No..it doesn't..u should turn from it..you see, when we accept Christ , His spirit comes to live within us and its His Spirit that convicts us of our wrongs and tugs at our hearts to turn from sin...that why it went from law to kingdom bc the kingdom of God lives in those who believe in Him.
I don't have all the answers and I don't have the answers about Rome but what I do know is the Holy Bible is based on faith and faith is putting your trust in something or someone..we will never have all the answers to some of the questions that we ask but I'm sure not going to let that stop me from believing. I believe the Holy Bible bc when I began to study it, God started to change me and He revealed Himself to me as a real person. so, for me, I don't need any evidence, I have all the evidence I need.
and yes, their are many denominations and many bibles but that was man not God doing that..man has made different denominations to fit its lifestyle...if you want to be a drinker then go to a Catholic Church if u don't want to drink then go to a baptist church...instead of changing to please God, they change their beliefs to fit how they want to live...this is in very denomination...and the different bibles...some have different books in them than others..God placed on my heart that He gave us the Holy Bible and has warned me about dabbling in the others..it causes confusion which is what the enemy wants..
so, to me, being a Christian has nothing to do with religion it's about my relationship with God...We r to walk in his image...when people look at us they r suppose to see someone that looks like He did when He walked this earth..He loved everyone, forgave everyone and was not judgmental like a lot of Christians r these days..
my advice is to pick up a Holy bible and start reading and accept it for what it's worth, u may be surprised just how God will speak to you from it..that's why it's called the living bible bc their is life in it.

Jesus was in non-duality a fully awakened state of consciousness. He told us that he came to feed us meat, but he came to realize that we could only drink milk. Those who created christianity did not have a clue.

I think that looking at the definition and meaning of the word, "religion" will give us some clues here. We can't really agree on what it means.
The generally- accepted definition is "the belief in a higher spiritual authority of supernatural origin". But in the context of this discussion, there's nothing new or noteworthy there.
Jesus came here to transcend religion as we knew it, IMO. He came here to show us the truth of who we are. But unfortunately, he taught much like the masters of various disciplines did and do even to this day- "inner" and "outer" teachings. And those privy to the outer teachings (which were valid, but had hidden meanings which largely remained undiscovered by the masses) outnumbered those privy to the inner by a wide margin, so the inner teachings were all but lost over time.
Once the power of Rome got behind the outer teachings and codified them as religious law, the tide turned irrevocably- under penalty of death- in favor of the larger group who did not have the full knowledge of Jesus' teachings.

The word Religion comes from the Latin religo or the verb religare, meaning to bind or to unite. I really don't think you can use your mind the find what you are searching for subsidinginsanity. It is only with the heart that we can see clearly, the heart has an innate understanding of truth, it sees beyond the confusion created by man. Follow your heart and you will find the true meaning of Christ.

Those who created christianity did not have a clue. I agree. For Jesus, spirituality isn't a thing of words and ideas but rather actions and experiences. For him talking to the father is literally speaking with god. Healing is to make whole, seeing is to truly see. I don't think anything christians do can even be related in terms of the spirituality he lived, so I can't imagine that he could look at the current incarnation of christianity and approve.

Jesus and all other holy souls like him are the ones, who were the real example of saying that GOD came to earth in the form of physical body & shower his knowledge/love to people. So, that they can understand the real importance of there own potentials.
Jesus was not here to promote any religion/custom among the society. For e.g. Mother Teresa.
Christianity/Hinduism/Jainism/Sikhism/Muslim/other religions have been built/established by the human beings itself.
Jesus thoughts of saying "I am the son of GOD", were not something that emphasize of any particular society of people. It has the same meaning for all of us.
If Christianity focus on Bible, hinduism focus on Bhagwad Geeta or Muslims focus on Quaran, Or Sikhism focuses on Guru Granth Sahib.
They are actually doing the same things of bridging a communication between the conscious with the sub-consciousness (GOD).
So, followers will always follow what the feel interest in. Religion talks about now a days, its own importance among the other religions and nothing else.
But, the thing that actually unites all of us are understanding what these angels who came and live with us as well, were trying to teach us.
Spirituality is one way or the another, the other name of GOD to recall.
Holy spirits like Jesus, Lord Krishna, Guru Nanak, Mahatma Gandhi, Swami Vivekananda, Mother Teresa and lot of others had just one word to say:
"God is in you. Just use the right key to find him within yourself"
God Bless everyone.

Agree with you samy ... There were (3) statements that Jesus made; 1. When he first began his mission he stated that he was a messenger of God.
2. Later as he got more established within himself he then said, I am the Son of God.
3. Then finally as he fully established himself he then said, I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE.
That was when he completely merged in God where every act, thought and word was God's alone working through the form of the Lord Jesus. Beautiful dont you think. Here's another thought! In this physical world there are "ALWAYS" great and wonderful artists of all kinds. And some artists are great painters and sketches. Imagine those who could paint - sketch and draw back when Jesus was on earth, at that time there would have been many artists who sat and listened to his enlightening words while they sketched his face, then later painted it on animal skin, wood, or even stone. "But where are these paintings and drawings now? We all know who Michelangelo is, dont we. Though back at the time of Jesus people were illiterate, but this does not mean they couldn't paint, draw or even carve wooden sculptures or marble and granite statues. Yes there are many things under the vatican that would literally astound us, even cause great shock if we knew what they were. Tucked tightly away so man/woman cannot raise their thoughts higher than that of the church.
Maybe one day they will be brought out in the light of day to be revealed at long last, a New Age - a New Dawn. One day!!!!

Very Very nice & beautiful words Wayne. The fact of the matter is that whatever you have mentioned is completely the representation of that divine/God/Energy/Power that we see as something Out of this Galaxy in terms of differentiating the conscious from the sub-conscious mind. Coming back to your first point of the three separate statements being cascaded to the society in the way of being called by Jesus himself by Bible. Now, this can be explained/described in the way of a simple example: Each and every activity/passion that this human body does, requires Practice, Time & Patience. And a baby rather being joined directly to the PHD, need to start from the Kindergarten in the beginning. The same way it happens to the specialization fields too whether its being called as a Doctor, Engineer, Artist, Singer & any other Professional. Now they are are in other ways called as the Materialistic way of living the life which this spirit lives inside the physical body will do, to run himself/herself along with the society. But the root that is common to Material life & Spiritual life is the Practice/Learning/Concentration etc. to achieve what you actually want in your life as a truth/reality/goal. So, Jesus and same as like him other holy spirits/God knew that the lesson of telling directly that I am the GOD is not so easy to make this human creature understand/realize/accept it. Reason being this brain being given to this human has its unique process of asking Why, How & What? And these are the specific terms that are called as the Job of the brain....And at the same time are the biggest roadblock of connecting individual to the soul/divine/God directly. Again a very short daily life example of this physical body that we see in the Gyms and other sports areas.....That its important to do the Warm up before actually start doing any exercise.......As its important to let open all the closed/blocked gates first, to make this body feel more open and flexible. The same thing goes with the internal soul part as well......As being mentioned about the characteristic of one among the part called as Brain......If we try to tell someone that the current family that you are live in are not your real parents even in biologically also......Then also the person though will get a doubt somewhere is his/her mind....but will only accept it through data and some legitmate facts that prove he/she is not the genetically baby of the ones they were living in for long time So the same thing goes with the Understanding of GOD as well.....This individual ask why that person is saying that he is the God or we are god.......And the core is its all about the levels of progress in spirituality too.....The more you get yourself connected to you only.....The easier it will be to make out that both the three lines being said by Jesus are in the root have a same meaning of the existence of GOD himself in all of them.. GOD is everywhere, everytime with everyone.....Its just his own way of presentation that we see from these external body and manipulate according to our own individual levels of seeing him in whatever way satisfies our own acceptance of understanding him the most. So, no body is wrong even if they ask /doubt about his own existence......Its in actual all about the mindset/society/activities etc. that each and every individual is involved in and see things accordingly. Otherwise, the fact of the matter is its the GOD that is the ultimate reality.... And its in the individuals own hands to see him in whatever way they want to see. Ameen. God Bless EVeryone

I have often wondered this myself, and what I believe is that Jesus had great knowledge of God, what we would call enlightenment today. I also believe that he was a threat to the Roman Catholic church and was crucified because of it. I believe as well that there people of today that have the same types of gifts from God that Jesus possessed and are being suppressed just as Jesus was. Without the Church we are alone and at the mercy of anyone that may feel threatened by our knowledge and/or their lack of it. Just my thoughts and it is just sad.
