Hello everyone,
I apologize if this is confusing, I'll try to explain as thoroughly as I can. I had two different dreams that I remembered, and a 3rd dream last night that I barely remember. In my dream last night I was walking in a mall and smelling/ trying on perfume. That's all I remember from that dream.
Three nights ago, I had a dream were I was in a mall I had never been to. I was working there at a store similar to the Gap stores (in the US). All of the hallways in this mall were unusually long. In the dream, I saw a guy I used to know in college, not in any of my previous dreams. This person wasn't a romantic interest when I was in school. I do remember that he was an engineering major. In the dream, he was writing calligraphy, with traditional paper, ink and brush. I kept asking him what he was writing, what characters he was using and what language it was. He was very stoic and said he was learning a special language called _____ (I don't remember exactly, but the word sounded like "Putong") from a certain region that I've never heard of. So I'm guessing it was an unknown language. In the dream I saw random, nanosecond flashes of images that were risqué I guess (bondage, etc) I was debating whether I should put that, but it was in the dream and I wanted to be as honest as possible with what I saw.
The second dream I had two nights ago. I was in a house and I saw little mice and small birds. In the dream I wasn't scared of the mice. One of the tiny birds I remember had an orange chest (not sure of the species). In the dream, I sang with a group (none of the faces or names were familiar to me) and we made a youtube video that was somewhat popular. For some reason I was replaced in the group with someone who looked and sounded very similar to me. So much so that when they introduced the new person, some of the youtube comments said, "She looks just like 'clara'". Then the group somehow became popular in korea(??) and they were about to have their video debut. When I saw the video, they were all wearing masks, not 'masquerade' masks, but prosthetics that made them look Asian. It was very surreal.
These dreams really caused me head-scratching moments. I have no idea what to make of them. I would appreciate any insight into their possible meanings. Thank you in advance.

Hi Clara, 1st Dream: You are walking around a shopping mall. In dream symbology shops represent opportunities in life and the tools or abilities you need to grow, that you have 'within' at your disposal. A shopping mall is a place where there are lots of different shops to look at. Indicating to me that you have at your disposal many options and abilities to draw on. Even if 'you' don't realise it. The perfume that you are trying on is about sweetness, luxury and indulgence. This may indicate that a part of you longs for this. Or you have been going through a lean period in your life, when the good things have been in short supply. We all need a treat now and then and to pamper ourselves. This maybe your higher self encouraging you to do just this. What do you think? Maybe time for spoiling yourself a little! 2nd Dream: In this dream you are in a shopping mall. As I have described above, it indicates that you are exploring your options in life. Thinking about what skills and abilities you have. So there is definitely a theme of reflection here and starting to plan ahead. You may even be thinking about adding to your current skills and contemplating further education. In your dream you see a boy you used to know, someone you admired, liked at school. People in dreams are aspects of ourselves. So when you think about this young man. What was it about him you liked, admired. Dream people, either embody qualities and traits we wish to emulate. Or, they can mirror aspects of ourselves, that we are not happy about and need working on. The young man in your dream was writing in calligraphy. You mention Pu tong. Pu tong is a place with a very small population in the state/region of Hun an, China. Did the writing you saw look like this? Writing is about communication and self expression. There may be two things going on here. On one hand, the fact that the writing is in Chinese may indicate a past life connection. Is this something that has any meaning to you? On another, it is your higher self encouraging you to express yourself more through the written word. Often for those who struggle to express themselves vocally, writing it down is much better. It allows the writer to think through what they want to say and to reflect themselves on what has been written. You have been writing more lately and keeping a record of your dreams. This I feel, is a affirmation that what you are doing is helpful to you. 3rd Dream: A house in dream symbology represents YOU the dreamer. Its size, the rooms within the house, all symbolise aspects of you. Your personality, your abilities, your qualities and personal traits. How you view yourself and how your perceive the world around you.
Mice in dream symbolism represent the little fears or irritations in life that is taking your energy. We also look at what mice mean to us. Mice are shy and timid. They hide away. Does any of these qualities sound familiar to you? Or do they represent things about yourself that you find irritating. In life at the moment do you feel held back in any way by fear or are you being irritated by the people or situations around you?
Birds in dream symbolism represent, spiritual freedom. The ability to soar to higher awareness. Also freedom from material ties or from the pressures and expectations of every day life. You have this ability within you. You simply have to discover a way of tapping into it. It is interesting that the bird has a orange chest. How the color orange affects us mentally and physically:-
* Stimulates activity * Stimulates appetite * Encourages socialization
Orange is also the colour of the 2nd chakra known as the Sacral. This chakra houses your creative and sexual energies - your ability to nurture and give birth to the seeds of life. It is considered to be the ‘relationship chakra’ because it represents our ability to relate to other people.
Problems with this chakra arise when there are issues involving creativity and financial and sexual power. For example, concerns relating to childbirth and parenting, financial or sexual inadequacy, or repressed creativity.
The challenge of the sacral chakra is to interact consciously with others and allow the creative flow of life to guide and shape continual change in our lives.
The dream is showing you this colour connect to the bird of freedom. Think about what you have read and whether or not any of this is meaningful to you now. Do you believe that your sacral chakra is functioning well with no in balances. Or do you need to focus on and work on these aspects of self, and this is why your dream is drawing it to your attention? Only you know the answer to these questions Clara.
The rest of the dream is about you performing. But not being quite good enough. So this is about your confidence in yourself. Worrying about how you appear to the world! You are replaced by someone who looks just like you. I feel that there are two people inside you Clara. The shy, unsure you. The one that is very self critical and the one who is confident and is sure of her own abilities. Trying to get out and wanting to interact with others and enjoy life. You simply have to find a way to let go of self imposed restrictions, brought on by lack of self esteem and self love. It is all there within you Clara. All you have to do is reach inside yourself.
The Asian theme could be a past life connection, something maybe for you to look into further. Have you always felt a affinity or connection to the Asian people, culture and country. Especially China? Next time you dream about symbols and writing. Try to jot it down straight away. So keep a notepad and pen handy by the side of the bed.
I hope this has helped you Clara. Please only take from this that which is meaningful to you and simply leave the rest. I would appreciate your feedback.
Love and light Kaz

Dear Kaz,
I deeply appreciate you taking the time out to interpret these dreams.
1st dream: maybe I do need to do something for myself that borders on pampering. I guess in both my waking life and dream life I feel an urge to enhance my physical appearance. It also is true that I've felt like I don't have the ability to make these changes and keep them up for financial reasons. I live with my parents and the seem to be more than willing to buy things that they want me to wear (usually clothes that border on matronly), they don't see the importance of a unique scent, hair cut and color that fits me and are certainly not going to pay for these things. So the next step is finding a job, and I've been having a lot of anxiety about that because I was let go from last job because of my physical presentation( or lack of it). When i find my next job, I need to remember to set aside a bit of money weekly for taking care of myself.
2nd dream: I am contemplating more education, I definitely feel I need it but not in the same areas or places that my parents think i need it. I realize that I keep mentioning, my parents. Its something that I need to work on. No matter what they do or don't do I'm still in control of my life). As for the person in my dream, he was a very matter of fact kind of person, and it seemed like he liked to plan, that may have something to do with him being an engineering major. The calligraphy that you posted in he pic liked similar to what was in my dream. I have been writing my dreams down. In the past I wouldn't have been as diligent in recording it. As far as past lives, it's definaty possible and I have felt a connection to certain mythology, history and poetry. I'm not sure if it's environmental or because of past life connection or maybe a mixture of both.
3rd dream: I feel like I do back away from situations like a mouse. As far as the birds I do want to be free , from my own anxiety, free from my home situation and free from other peoples expectations. I've never really though much about my sacral chakra but now that you've mentioned it I think there is an imbalance. I don't socialize much with people. I know I need to get out, but the key for me is to keep going out without feeling insecure and withdrawing after a few weeks.
As far as there being a confident me whose sure of herself, she's buried very deep it seems because rarely has that come out of me. She was my dominant personality when I was three apparently and came out when I used to run track and took tests in high school. Other than that I feel like I can't seem to bring her out. I'm trying to figure out how.
Thank you again for analyzing my dreams I really appreciate what you do Kaz
