I saw many thoughts on the definition of Spiritualism and thought I would add a separate post. This is not to state what spiritualism is, but rather how I view it from my perspective. Spiritualism is only a religion to me if allowed to be guided by a patriarchal mind still thinking there is a 'system' to be followed. This is untrue from my view of reality. Spiritualism is directed by GOD/ALL/UNIVERSE when an individual soul is ready for the next step on Jacob's ladder.
Spiritualism has many paths but the core goal is the same. To connect with GOD in such a way that one finds peace in this world of conflict and duality, while KNOWING they are eternal in nature and can never 'not be'. How can a person's energy field die when they are an expression of GOD? This is the 'eternal life' found in the Christian scriptures when we 'awake' from the 'death' of a third dimensional consciousness.
So...How to connect is based on the life-path best suited for that individual by GOD and themselves. Whatever the path layed before us by GOD is a chance to grow spiritually if we accept it as an opportunity, not 'coincidence.' An example would be when this book comes at the perfect time, or the correct person for the situation just happened to be right 'there' when needed to be ...This is the divine orchestra that is GOD speaking to us through physical reality. We have just forgot to 'see' it, or be thankful for it.
The Essenes spoke of this in their literature as Greg Bradden has demonstrated in his talks, and it is even found in Native American writings like the 'MAKA WICHAPI WICOHAN'. THAT ALL OF LIFE IS A MIRROR BEING REFLECTED AS A SCHOOL FOR THE SOUL.
The easiest description would be what we see or observe around us is a lesson that is hidden until we are humble enough to accept it. We see our faults reflected to us by those that surround us, or we are given a chance to 'act' or 'change' our situation for the better if the situation is emotionally and Spiritually negative. We at times seem to get stuck in bad habits or patterns that retard our Spiritual growth.
It is also about forgiving yourself for the things done while in ego, and making the change in your being to never do that destructive behavior again.
That is Spiritual growth..not speaking to angels, channeling, or saving the world with vibrational resonance.We are then allowed to understand others and have compassion. This is all in an effort to better cultivate our OWN knowing of right or wrong. It is up to us to decipher the lesson, implement it or not, and to 'move on' or 'stay' in the same experience.
For me Spirituality is the art of properly reflecting inwardly to be objective enough with myself, to change for the better for the sake of being a better person, not to gain anything else. Finding ways I could have better reacted in a situation, while maintaining integrity. By self reflection and healing old 'pain' or 'anger', we are able to see more objectively the situations around us and make choices not based on emotional reaction, but in align with our 'Higher-self' or true nature of LOVE. This is the first step in opening the HEART chakra which is the connecting link with GOD when it is aligned within the proper frequency of .618..(for the science types)
This is the Golden Means ratio that all of creation follows when harmonizing waves of energy to create material reality. When you are in a state of Bliss, compassion, or Love you modulate this frequency from the heart which can even be measured to be exactly divisble by the Golden Mean ratio. You become an antenna for the creative thought-forms of higher intelligence and the LIGHT.
From here the sky is the limit in peeling layers of self away to find greater compassion and humility unto all. This is why Spirituality to me could not be a religion, as only GOD and the individual are manifesting and experiencing what is needed for the individual to lose ego, and finally have room for the LIGHT of the Creator to enter.
Levels of Spirituality can be found following systems of religions, but no system of man can replace the experience GOD will manifest for us through physical reality. When we do not place any human or scripture as 'HOLY' and find the 'Book of Knowledge' within, we find the 'CHRIST' within. This is the conquering of the male dominated ego, by the female energy of Love and compassion. This will not be found through any religious movement, books, or new age channels properly. It is found by no longer being a victim of circumstance, and seeing GOD communicate to us in all things trying to guide us to a greater LOVE. It is found in humility, an open-ended consciousness, and the desire to serve something beyond the self or ego.
I Believe none of the gurus, accept nothing this realm offers as truth, and keep only my own connection with GOD and the experiences we share together as my reality.
