All of these things are tied together. The Spirits have always told me that they are here to help us, and all that we have to do to get their help, is simply do our part. When I gather my power and I also stop giving my power away to others I start to comprehend all sorts of things at a whole different level. There are many teachings from the past, that come from people who had gone beyond duality and into non-duality. The problem is that their students were trying to convey their teachings to others with minds that were still in duality consciousness. And we the descendents are trying to comprehend these teachings with our minds in duality consciousness.
As I gather my personal power, I can start to comprehend things at a different level, and if I stop giving my power away to other people, places, and things out of my self, my comprehension of Spirit Stuff goes way up. If I stop getting my power from people places and things outside of my self, my comprehension of Spirit Stuff goes up even higher. And in the Eastern philosophies they have what is called the Kundalini and the aboriginals which I have learned much from call this the snake powers. As the snake powers come up and clear blocks from our bodies and our consciousness we feel power and/or energy coming up our backs. This also raises our comprehension even higher. Then while some of this is going on the Quickening starts or that is what we call it. The Quickening is when the Spirits send us energy and it runs down the spine. This quickening can go on for many years, it can also start and stop all threw ones life.
This is just the experiences that I have had on my journey, and these are the words that I use to describe these experiences. At some point on my journey my learning became remembering, and then conscious contact started to unfold. We are not alone , we never have been and we never will be.

Very interesting post Ishtahota, I liked how you described the Kundalini, the quickening. I am sure people have felt this fleetingly and not known what it is or what causes it. For me it is a total connection with God, though this will heighten with the presence of spirit, they do after all reside a little closer to God, so naturally they will be a little more infused with this energy.
It is the source of life, so anyone who seeks to be more aware spiritually, should seek to be closer to the source.
It does not matter if you do this in prayer or in meditation, or by being active, all that matters is that you abandon your fears and feel that energy. Trust me, it is like a bolt of lightening, an electric shock. It will remove the blockages within you, so that you have the chance to begin anew.
Thanks Ishtahota, God bless you.

Hi Ishtahota, I really enjoyed reading this post. It is good to share in other people's experiences. What I found interesting is how you refer to 'learning not to give your power away to others'. This is something we do every day in different ways. By not being true to ourselves or by going along with the needs of others because it is simply easier to do that, then standing up for what we believe in. I think there is also a tendency in some of us to be givers and carers, it is a fundamental part of their nature. From what you have said, it does not matter how much someone wants to grow spiritually and works on their spiritual practice. Until they learn not to give their power away to others, they are destined to forever be stuck in one place. I think I just had a Aah Haa moment. I liked the way you described the Kundalini as a quickening, I found it very interesting that the Aborigines refer to it as the snake powers, as I know in Kundalini it is described as the sleeping serpent. It does uncoil just like a snake doesn't it. A question I have to ask is this. If it is believed that there is no duality, that we are all one. Then why does it seem to be able to move forward spiritually, we almost have to learn to detach ourselves so that we are no longer influenced by others. Energetically we are all connected and so even if we try to mentally insulate ourselves, this energetic connection will still happen. I find it difficult to achieve a state of non emotional attachment, indeed there almost seems to be a coldness to it. In some ways it appears the more we become spiritually aware, the connection to earthly things seems less substantial. Taking on an 'other worldly' quality. For me this doesn't seem right, we were given this earthly incarnation for a very good reason. For I believe, it is only through the mix of physical, emotional and spiritual connections to others, that we truly grow. Thank you for sharing. Love and light Kaz

SparkleKaz The Kundalini or snake power is a power that is in us. The quickening can and is part of that, but there is a time when energy is sent by other spirits and or the higherself to start the kundilini process. Comprehension of higher spiritual knowledge is nesasary for doing the personel clearing work, and the quickening is the energy that gives us the higher comprehension ability to do the work which allowes the kundilini to start awakening. Kundilini comes from the inside out and the quickening comes from the outside in. My saying it does not make it so, but these things are the way that I percieve them.

Thank you for your response ishtahota. What you said "Kundalini comes from the inside out and the quickening comes from the outside in", really resonated with me and reminded me of something someone else said on another thread. I believe it was on the question about spiritual teachers.
It went something like, we can only go just so far by our own endeavours. That there is an external factor that we have no control over. That factor comes from spirit or the higher universal consciousness. Which makes me think of the quotation "when the student is ready, the teacher comes". This could mean a mentor or guide in life, but my feeling is that it is a initiation of the spirit from spirit. Love and light Kaz
