Have you ever sat down and thought about your life purpose and what that means for you spiritually? What have you done when you felt confused or doubted yourself? What reassured you? Also, have any of you consciously decided to change your life purpose? (If that's something that can be changed) Under what circumstances can you or should you change your direction? I wonder about this because if you have several paths you could walk down and none of them are necessarily "bad", how do you know which one is right?

Hi Clara,
Thanks for the question. Yes as of the past several years all I've done is think about my life purpose. I still don't have an answer. I'm always confused and doubt myself about whether or not I'm living my life's purpose. Maybe mine is to raise a wonderfully strong and confident woman since that has been missing in several past generations of the women in my family.
I will say that in yet another reading or something I had I was told that I'm the one that is to create the "legacy" for the future generations in my family. At 44 yrs old I'm starting to wonder if this is correct.
The other thing I will add is when I did my mirror work (which I posted about a couple of months ago) I was told that I am on the right path and I was made differently from the "average" (for lack of better term) person. I was also told that God is preparing me for something great.
So I would have to say that although I feel confused and I doubt myself with being on the right path to serve my life purpose I am on the right path! I think the self doubt may come from the fact that my life's purpose might not be something "normal" (once again for lack of a better term). It doesn't seem as if my life's purpose is to be married, have a job go and just go through life. I think my life's purpose may be to show people how to "live" life.
I hope I answered your questions. Thanks for the great post.
Blessings Dee

Hi Clara, A great question and one I have asked myself many times. Especially, when I feel 'stuck' and felt that time was moving forward, and yet I seem to have not moved any further forward at all. Or I am not happy, but feel incapable of doing anything about it. Have you noticed, how no one asks themselves if they are fulfilling their life purpose, when they are happy?
Every single experience we have, good or bad is there to teach us. About life, about ourselves and about each other. Even when we feel that we are not living the life we had planned for ourselves, that has a purpose. If nothing else then to show us that nothing in life is constant. We change, people change, our circumstances change, and one of our greatest gifts is the gift of adaptability. Human beings are incredibly versatile, we are survivors.
We become stronger, as we learn that the world didn't end because a relationship ended, or we lost our job and money was scarce. Even the trauma of losing a loved one or suffering a chronic illness cannot defeat us. When you think about it, we are pretty tough.
We need to feel that we matter, that we have made a difference in the world, because if we have not, why are we here. I don't think it has occurred to people to think, that their purpose in life, is as much for their own self growth and pleasure as it is to do something for someone else. And then, there are all the lives we touch, the differences we make to people, the love and friendship we share. How richer their lives are for having known us, as we have been enriched by knowing them. We all make a difference to someone, we are all precious to someone.
So I believe Clara, that whatever we are doing, wherever we are, we are fulfilling our life's purpose. Be prepared for the unexpected, as you never know what is around the corner, but that is what makes life interesting isn't it. .There is a quote I love which says, 'If you are alive, you are fulfilling your life purpose'
Love and light Kaz

These were both beautiful posts Dee and Kaz.
Dee, your post makes me want to pay attention to signs that appear in my life. You are a strong and confident woman and it radiates, so I can see how you were told that you were meant to create a legacy for your family.
Kaz, that's a good point. In most cases, when you're happy you usually don't sit and wonder what your life purpose is. I really like that quote you chose, "If you are alive, you are fulfilling your life purpose".
Thank you both.

Many times it seems we get bogged down in "purposes, plans, rhyme and reason" instead of just simple looking inward and being. Even if we had a purpose we would only know it in hindsight. We could only look back after the fact and say "that nust have been the reason I was here or there..." We can never know what's ahead enough to say that is or will definitely be my purpose. However we always have the Now and that requires nothing of us except being us. As Kaz said "If you are living..." Try not to over think it.

I suppose we do not know which path is the right path until we look back. If we have traveled far and learned the lessons we needed to, if we have experienced life to the full, then the path would have been deemed worthwhile.
Yet who is to say what our soul needs most, pain could be what the soul seeks most, for learning purposes, joy could be what the soul seeks so it can experience different emotions.
Who is to judge what is good for you, it is between your soul and God.
