Hi there, welcome to The God Light Ah faith, indeed a tricky thing sometimes. Faith is like love and other such attributes, one can have it in various degrees, hardly is it the case that you have either complete faith, or no faith at all. It gets mixed up with other things. For instance part of you can like things and part of you can dislike things, and similarly, part of you can have faith and part of you may doubt things. We just need to remember that the doubting part is not the whole of us. Faith does not mean blindly believing in something, as you know anyways. Another thing about faith is that someone else cannot give it to you, it comes out of personal experience. If one were to have perfect faith, one would not have any fears, or any disharmony. If ones faith were SO complete, then all these things would disappear, for there would be 100% trust, 100% knowing that all is well. A human may have complete faith as much as it is possible for that human, and that person may fully believe, but that does not mean it is 100% absolute faith. For as long as one has conflicting currents inside oneself, there will be a distortion in ones faith. It is goood to face your doubts, and not force them away. It is good to say, although a part of me believes, there is a part of me that doubts all these things, then at least one is in truth. As one grows spiritually and progress on this long walk, and as one uncovers all these things in oneself, one realizes that there is also a lack of faith in oneself. And the lack of faith in oneself affects also the faith in god. One cannot have faith in the one and not in the other. So faith is something to be approached from 2 sides, one would be to work on yourself, the other would be to be shown the truth by god when we are ready to see it. So many times people wait for god to make the first move, they say, if I know all this is true, then I will do something about my life. But it does not work that way, we have to make effort at it, at the same time. There is much more to say about faith, but I will leave it there for now. Looking forward to your questions!
