At First I Wasn't Going to Write This Dream Down..

But some of the memories of the dream kept nagging at me. So I didn't immediately write my dream and some of it might be a little unclear. I felt as if my mind kept telling me to "please try to remember the dream and write it down." So I did. Here goes...

We were driving down a big highway and came to a stop because I believe that another car in our entourage hit an animal I can't remember which though.

I also remember trying to get to this place (this place has been a recurring element in my dream but not recently...until this night) it was in the city (like within the city limits...looked more like the inner city of chicago, IL but Im not sure) and I always have to circle around and come into the area from a certain way to access the building that I want to get to.

There are always a lot of buildings like retail shops in concrete buildings with flat roofs. Sometimes there are like "kiosks" with people selling things in the streets...its always very very congested.

I was with a man who was my love interest. He wasn't my husband. He was the exact opposite of my husband he was african american, bigger built, nice dresser (he had a british tan leather jacket made of that very soft leather) he also had other men that hung out around him but he seemed to be the leader of the pack. I also remember my mom and someone else (maybe my sister. Yes I remember her being in it). And I think my sister was dating someone in the group of men as well or a man that we all knew.

Me and the guy had just "expressed" our love for each other prior to my mom arriving. She asked me if I had kissed him yet and I told her I wasn't going to answer that. She was hurt but I stood my grounds. I remember being involved with him in the dream. All I can remember he (I typed "he" but I think it should have been "she" as in my mother) was very skeptical of our relationship.

Your spiritual growth is impaired when your hwy is blocked as another part of you (the other car) hits your animal/human nature. You do not admit the aminal part of yourself nor the "other" car.
You are trying to get back to the center of your being. The buildings are different aspects of yourself. Instead of pushing to go within, merely become quiet and listen. Do not be distracted by what others (Mom, your sister and the man) think or want. Listen, listen, and listen again and again. Say a prayer before you become still.

Hi Kaz,

Welcome back! We missed you. I've read over your interpretation a more than a few times (in waiting for you to get back ;D ) and yes this made a lot of sense to me.

With regards to the roadway, yes it was a freeway, from what I remembered it looked like a brand new highway, because the road was newly paved with blacktop, the center lines had fresh paing and even the cemented ramps looked brand new.

Regarding the sudden stop, we both know what that was so yes that has meaning to me and your interpretation of that really hits home.

You mentioned me being stuck in a cycle of kind. I believe that's been for the last 8 years or so. It's just been the same cycle of me working hard towards a goal, achieving the goal, and then having it snatched away from me and me starting over again. And I feel that I'm right back in that same cycle again. Once again, everything that I've worked hard for has been snatched away from me and I'm back at like a negative zero. And I never seem to have any control as to whether I can fight to keep whatever's being snatched away. Its very very frustrating for me and it makes me weary.

Regarding the man in the dream. Yes I'm moreso concerned about my own appearance than the man I'm with. I've also been concerned about the way I look due to fact I was like the "ugly duckling" growing up and hated it! lol So I do take time to make sure I look the best that I can at all times....which is very tiring for me as I get older. lol And you're exactly right about the man. I do like a very strong manly man that other men look up to in all ways. I also like to stand out in a crowd and I do attract to men who are the same way. So yes that makes perfect sense to me Kaz.

And yes the remaining 3 paragraphs hit home as well. Up until recently (because I sort of secluded myself from friends) my friends came to me for everything. Everyone always wanted my advice of guidance. I couldn't do it anymore. How the heck am I giving advice when my own life is in shambles lol. And yes I do have a very conservative side filled with morals. And although I try to live life by the seat of my pants, there is a side of me that always try reign me in and not let me get too wild and crazy.

Once again Kaz your interpretation has given me great insight into what my subconscious was saying to me! I actually had 2 dreams the night of my birthday which of course I wrote them down for you with times and everything! I'll post those soon. I know you'll be busy once you get back so I won't rush!
