Finding turtles.

Hello, i'm having a bit of trouble trying to decipher this dream. i had it tonight, woke up and found it most peculiar, normally i just get up to try to find the meaning. But this time i did, since it's still fresh in my memory here it goes:

I was walking with several friends down this long road, in a city that i know. we are talking and some of them are talking with other friends that are waiting for us for a picnic. most of these people are from the country that i originate which i haven't seen in several years. but this road is in another country (currently where i live). the road is straight, has many light-posts, clean and in good condition. we finally get to a curve and are about to arrive to the park. when my cat jump out of my arms and just starts running around i get a bit worried that he won't get lost, but since he always stays close i keep an eye on him. (he's my cat, and very cuddly and love people). eventually we sit down to eat, and someone has this red lizard that they caught. i try to hold it but it slipped through my fingers and ran away. i chase it to get it back but it goes through a wire chicken fence to a pasture. i jump over it and run after it.

when i notice i get to this dirt road. old style of road where it's been tread a bit under the level of the ground. but the road is in great condition, a bit sandy, straight with post fences and wires going along it. i stop to notice that on the right side of the road there are these small stones, but when i look closer they are turtles. a couple of them just sitting there in the sand. i pick one up and notice it has half a head on top of his head, it was a young one but it looks very dirty. and i find some tracks coming from the other side of this particular one. i leave this turtle and go to see where the tracks come from. on the other side i notice there is an opening on the ground.

when i look inside the opening, there are hundreds of these little turtles just sitting there. so i decide to take some home, so i start choosing, some of them are a bit odd, some resembled toys. i picked one up but it had it's shell broken so i put it down. i picked 4 turtles the biggest one around 4 inches long, down to the smallest only 1 inch long, they were newborns, they felt leathery on the underside. one of the turtles i picked up was for the person who lost the lizard, as i had lost this lizard. i know that 2 were going to be for me specially the smallest one. so i took them with me back to the picnic. my friends where amazed and wanted to know where i found them. i was pointing and telling them where when i woke up.

if any of you could help me with the meaning. i have looked at some meaning of the major things, as with the animal symbology within the dream. and the meaning of the road, i know that details help to make a better interpretation about dreams. just let me know what you think.

The light posts show you have good clarity and understanding about your current life circumstances.

Lizards appearing in dreams are symbolic of renewal, vision, enlightenment, and rebirth. In fact, in ancient times (particularly in alchemical lore), it was believed that the lizard renewed its sight by looking into the sun. A symbol of demure perspective in the face of monumental physical force. The lizard is a tiny reminder that big results come from small, conscious efforts.

The cat symbolises the mysterious deeply feminine intuitive aspect f the dreamer. I have no idea if you are male or female. But within human beings we all carry both male and female energies. The change in the road, an old style of road, could be referring to a memory or an experience from the past, or even a past life memory. I love turtles, and they have wonderful symbolism. A great deal of mythology exists in regard to the turtle. In the Far East, the shell was a symbol of heaven, and the square underside was a symbol of earth. The turtle was an animal whose magic united heaven and earth. The turtle is a creation of nature that carries its round shell over the ground, like heaven, and has a flat bottom, like earth. With a profile resembling a mountain and the turning motion of its toes, it seemed to be a depiction of heaven and earth changing constantly.

The markings and sections on some turtles total thirteen. In the lunar calendar, there are either thirteen full moons or thirteen new moons alternating each year. Many believe this is where the association with the female energies originated. The turtle symbolizes the primal mother and Mother Earth. So again another strong female energy.
