Hello,
I am new to this group but I am seeking some spiritual help. I feel like, my entire life, that I have been ridden with negative energy that will not go away. I have read spiritual books, sage smudging and reiki, which help, temporarily and then I feel the negativity creep back in. I have recently given up alcohol, as I felt that it had a negative hold on me as well. I recently moved to a small town with my husband and have been having lots of problems with work, my husband, and maintaining friendships. I feel that I need to have this negative entity removed from me so I can move on. I had an abusive childhood and I feel that this energy is from my parents as well as being bullied my whole life. I was looking into shamanic healing but there isn't anyone within 2 hours of where I live. Is there something else that can be done to help me evolve, spiritually, and rid myself of this toxic energy? Any advice would be so greatly appreciated as I am very sad and need assistance.
Thank you so much!

Dear Rosie, Its really nice to meet you. Welcome to The God light.. I think I saw you come into chat briefly, earlier on today. I am sorry you didn't stay in, it would have been really nice to chat to you and get to know you. Please don't be shy.. we are a friendly group and no one bites.. It sounds as if you have had, and are still going through a difficult time. But you are on the right track. Actively seeking out information and insight about your feelings and sharing with like minded others, I believe will definitely help. Negativity, is insidious.. the more we think about it, the more down we feel. I have always found doing things that I enjoy, like reading, or being creative have helped me when I have been, in those situations. Focusing on the things that make you happy is the key, not dwelling on what makes you sad. Though I know that is easier said then done. But it really is all in the mind. What we think, creates how we feel. Do you meditate? Meditation can be really helpful in calming the mind. Slowing down anxious thoughts. We have a couple of really nice guided meditations on our spiritual music board. There are also some good ones on google. I believe guided meditation, to be a great introduction to meditation. Especially if you find it hard to relax, and get into it at first. We also have a healing group, that meets every Friday in the chat room. It is on at 11pm GMT and 6pm EST. If you are interested in healing and energy work, I think you would enjoy it. It is open to all guests and members. It is also a great way of getting to know everyone. I am based in the UK. I look forward to reading more of your posts and to getting to know you better. Love and light Kaz

It's always helped me to take small steps to making changes in my life... changing the way we feel can be done in a matter of moments.. just as it seems that we can quickly be back to square one when something happens! As Kaz says it is important to try and focus on good things - things that make you happy and a good way of doing this is stepping back and looking at your life and appreciating all the things you have already... it's a great way of changing whatever frequency your on into something really good... A good way of helping us to think clearer or have more good thoughts, is to change our behaviour and routines. Start to look at what you could do differently, from getting up in the morning to going to bed at night, small changes can make a huge difference ... Writing about your experiences and sharing your thoughts here all can help.. Kind regards HC

Fill up your day with more things that make you feel good ;D
Talk about what interests and inspires you... make it your goal to spend some 'me' time every day no matter what .. a time to relax, meditate... grab a hot chocolate and put your feet up..
To change all we need to do is believe we can...
