Some very good questions Leon… takes some soul searching to answer. If Jesus returned today, what would he do to make himself known? Well in the bible I believe it says something to the effect he’ll be coming down from the clouds… this could be taken many ways… some out there think it eludes to spaceships… and some believe we’ll see him descending down as himself… like floating down from the clouds… (hehe.. this is the one I prescribe to )… But whichever way he shows up… I believe we’ll all see him at the same time…. (So no need for time zone calculations). Would anyone believe it was the true Jesus, or would he go unnoticed? I believe when he does come those who truly believe in him… those who truly have a close relationship with him will definitely know it’s really him… in fact I believe everyone will truly know it’s truly him… but those that were non-believers or simply followers of this and that.. Without any real conviction for truth… well know and will be in fear… those that have other agendas well, not sure if they’ll feel fear… but they too will know it’s really him…I believe everyone will be in ‘awe’ in that moment… however which take on the meaning of ‘awe’ will depend on their relationship or lack of with Jesus/God. (for the meaning of ‘awe’ you can check out the ‘Love/Reverence’ post in the general message board). Would there be a new message for humanity?... hmm good question… Would there need to be one at that point?... After all he is here to judge us… would be a bit late for that… other than a ‘I told you so’… and somehow I just don’t seem him as being that way…that’s simply an ego trip. How would Jesus appearing change your life? For me it would be like the end of a long journey. I’m sure I would feel some degree of relief… I’m sure I would also wonder if I’d done enough to go home… especially if I’ve forgiven myself enough to be/feel worthy of going home… I know I am not perfect… and I do fall many times… I make things harder than they need to be… I do it less today than I did in the past…I am a work in progress just like the rest of us… but I can rest assured that I know Jesus/God is with me always… and always has been… and I do my best to always listen. I ask for forgiveness and I work on forgiving myself whenever I catch myself going astray. God bless, Silvia

Dear Leon,
What an interesting question. When I thought about your question, my mind went back in time, to think about what the world was like, when Jesus made himself known to us the first time around.
It was at a time, when there was so much upheaval in the world. A time, when people worshiped many different God's and followed many different beliefs. Jesus's teachings, were aimed at everyone. His words, meaningful for all who heard them, regardless of their creed or culture. His words made sense, they resonated in the heart. That was why they made such a lasting impression upon those who heard them. Most of all they were about unity, love and fellowship.
Today the world appears fractured and disjointed. People have become disillusioned and embittered. Materialism again, seems to have become the God of many. People appear to be lost, searching for the latest new age or spiritual fad, to fill them up inside, because they feel empty. I feel this must be very similar to the world Jesus encountered, over 2,000 years ago.
I have often thought, the only way, we can save this planet, and our own species, is by coming together as one. Not under the banner of a religion, but of a way of life, that brings together, all our fundamental needs of Mind, Body and Spirit. After all Jesus, did not give the words he spoke, the ethos he preached, a label did he. It was man, who did that. I feel labelling something is divisive. I love the way the Buddist Belief is open to all, and is happy for non Buddhists to embrace their beliefs, without converting. Jesus's words I believe, could be taken into ourselves the same way, without us having to feel guilt or conflict.
I agree with Silvia, that if Jesus was to appear before us, we would know it was him. His energetic being, spiritual essence would be so overwhelming. I am sure, many might even lose the use of their legs, if he was stood before them, so overwhelming would be his presence.
I believe, his appearance would change all of our lives not just mine. Even those who did not believe in him, would benefit from his presence, because, his coming would be the stablising influence the world needs, to slow down this path of self destruction it appears to be set upon. If ever a world needed Love and Guidance, it is this one.

Great question...and the responses resonate deep within me..I felt as if both Silvia and Kaz were reading my heart. Lately, with all of the pressures of life, I feel that I am moving "away" and struggling hard to recall the path that I am on..life seems to be trying to get in the way...so "will I be ready?" Today, I will take the time to sit out in nature and reflect, and hopefully return to the peace that I feel when I am simply with God and nature...and I will know that Jesus really is here, right beside me....leading..if I let Him.

I for one don't think people will recognise who he is, I think they will fear him, as they fear all others, that he is some sort of cunning deception that has been sent to try and dislogdge them from having a relationship with Jesus... HC

Hi Holychops, I agree there will be people who will fear him. Many people are simply afraid of change. They want things to stay the same because they feel comfortable with it. Also I believe people will always fear what they don't understand. There is also those who will be afraid of being deceived, for we live in an age, where the most silver tongued, will speak untruths for their own ends. Having said that, if you look back in time, it was his deeds, his presence and the affect he had upon people that convinced those around him, that he spoke the truth about who he was. So it is always up to the individual to believe or disbelieve. That is free will isn't it. For myself personally, I believe that belief, has to be felt within the heart. No one can convince another intellectually. Thats why our spiritual path is such a personal journey. Thank you for sharing and welcome to the group. Love and light Kaz

The very existance of Jesus is problematical, not because of disbelief, but because in the absence of any direct writings all we know of Jesus is what others said about him. Certainly there was at least some subjective slant that varied with each account. And I do find it very telling that Jesus appeared at a time when the known civilized world was ruled by the Romans. Yeah the brutal but efficient Roman Empire. Who could have guessed out of that would come the epitome of love and forgiveness? Still it must be noted the origonal Jehova was a mean jealous God and was suceeded by a kind gentle one even at a time that cried out for vengeance. To assume the Messia would follow suit flies in the face of how much human beings have changed and what we would need or deserve now. I can just picture many perhaps well meaning persons beating their chests and using Jesus to justify what they are doing now. And said Jesus dropping the bomb shell "it is easy to be generous using some one elses money". Or even more to the point: "you have learned much in the past 2,000 years and now you are running out of excuses for what you are doing". In that I think the quest is perenial. The system does not work. It never did and never will. We have made it better only to experience the same. That is not anybodies fault. We went from law and order to love and kindness. I think now we need to recognise responsibility. I think if Jesus returned He would preach responsibility and not rely on governments or churches or religion. Sort of a tough love approach and that might not be acceptable to some. Sometimes I really belive we do not need a savior anymore. All we need to do is stop creating problems.

Hi George, I really enjoyed reading your post. When you said "you have learned much in the past 2,000 years and now you are running out of excuses for what you are doing". It really struck a chord with me, and I thought, yes we have learned a lot in 2,000 years and in spite of that, we are still messing things up. Your words about 'responsibility' really resonated with me. Because that is so much a part of my own current spiritual growth. I don't know though about not needing a Savior anymore George. I think we need saving from ourselves. Because as you so rightly say, we are the ones who keep creating the problems. I don't know what the answer is. A radical way of re-thinking. Re prioritising and as you say, learning to take personal responsibility. I always say, that the only thing I think that will make people stop and start pulling together as one, is a common threat. One that will affect us all, regardless of race, religion or wealth. Something that affects the whole world. It is really good to see you posting, and I look forward to reading more of your words. Love and light Kaz

If jesus returned to the earth today, what would he do to make himself known? Would he have a new message for humanity? Would anyone believe it was the true Jesus, or would he go unnoticed? How would Jesus appearing change your life? :)I would just love to feel his beautiful energy of all his Divineness and drink it all in, i would love to sit and talk to him, and listen to all his wisdom and truth, about how the world is today and will it change to be more at peace, more loving, more compassionate and forgiving, will people change their ways from being too greedy, and wanting power over others that cause wars and death to innocent people. It would change my life so much just to know our world would be at peace, in the future, and knowing our mother earth , our animal and sea kingdom are going to be safe ,looked after and be there for future generations to come, so they can appreciate all the beauty that our creator gave to us to enjoy not to destroy. I would ask him to give our World a blessing so his Divine Loving Energy would reach everyone on this earth plane and make a difference in their lives and our world and slowly we would all change for the better when certain negative energies are bred out and new, more loving positive energies come in to our world with new and better leaders who are wise, truthfull , honest, caring and compassionate about how to treat people as equals, I feel it is up to us to make alot of changes and with help from Jesus he will send better leaders who are wise and compassionate to us to rule the countries that need help the most where they are being abused now. I have seen Jesus in a vision i had before i gave myself to his service, he appeared to me in the clouds, he was dressed all in white i could see clearly all his features and his robe, he had his arms open, and i have never felt anything like the love i felt inside within when i was blessed to have that experience, he was welcoming me into his service and i felt that it was just incrediable so yes i would know it was Jesus without a doubt you cant explain the feeling of so much love and peace within when you know you are in the presence of Jesus, you cant explain feelings, you have to feel them and experience that for yourself. I feel Jesus has walked among us unknown for many years along with his earth angels, and he would be disappointed in the way so many act against each other, race against another race, greed over compassion for those less fortunate than others, power of wanting more and more to control others in cruel ways that bring poverty and starvation to the innocent caught up in their power and greed trips. He knows we have a long way to go yet with our learning here on this earth plane, before we evolve to a higher level of conciousness being more compassionate, loveing, sharing, giving, being humble, forgiveness, truth and live our lives as he would like us to live with each other on this earth plane .. with a greater love for mankind all over the world... I know i wouldnt want to leave his presence once i was in it, because the love you feel is so great and meaningful its just beautiful the calm and peace you feel within is amazing this love comes from Jesus to us all and l cant wait to be in Gods kingdom in the spirit world to feel that love again with all my loved ones in spirit especially my son His son gave his life for us on the cross to purify our sins, and to show us all to be more loving, kind and giving to one and another, we are all a big family of one( a soul family) that have met before in past lives and have lived knowing each other as different races and cultures, we are all brothers and sisters, mothers, fathers, sons and daughters to many in past lives. Jesus would want us to live as one again, sharing , loving and caring for each other treating others as equals as no man or woman is better than another that would be nice to see in the future all races getting along as one with no more wars and suffering of the innocent in the world.

I'd love to give him a hug - knowing I'm safe forever. For me, Jesus is a feeling, not a physical thing to see.

Hello everyone, This is such a powerful thread. I am really surprised at how unique and varied everyone's perspectives are.
Q: If jesus returned to the earth today, what would he do to make himself known? A: I've never thought about how Jesus would make himself known if he came back outside of the literal Biblical interpretation of him "coming down from the clouds". Would it be through a speech or a mass miracle, or maybe it's would be just as simple as him literally coming down from the clouds?
Q: Would he have a new message for humanity? A: As far as a message, it would probably be the same truth he was speaking. It might sound different, but I think essentially it would be the same.
Q: Would anyone believe it was the true Jesus, or would he go unnoticed? A: I don't think he'd go unnoticed, but I think a lot of people would think it was an impostor. Why would they trust in a time of so much deceit? I'm not even sure I would "know" for sure. I'd have to trust my heart and/or my instincts or my higher self.
Q: How would Jesus appearing change your life? A: To be honest, I'm not sure what would change. I would imagine it would be something dramatic. I'm not sure what exactly would change.
