Often a confusing dream especially one which stays with you, is simply your subconscious mind trying to tell you to take notice of something important in your life. If you are disturbed by it, it is because it is very important to take note of something. If we can unravel this for you we will try!

hello all! im new here . saw this and could use your help. I had this dream last night. there was a tornado coming, i seemed to stay pretty calm. It was me and my kids and some other kids i didny know. i first was driving and stopped at a gracery store for shelter yet they had the doors locked. we ended up in a house I got the kids in the basement and barely made it down myself. The basement window broke in we ended up on the ocean and i then realized the house would sink.I tried to gather furniture together to stak up to put the kids on so they wouldnt drown. the kids i didnt know went upstairs and i thought i lost them .then mme and my kids went up stairs and i saw the other kids, they were sitting on chairs with their hands tied behind there backs. I untied them.
oh and i called my mom to tell her we werent going to make it through this.
normally i understand my dreams I get the messages yet this one was very unsettling my mom then later today called to tell me she loved me and that i was on her mind all day.

There was a tornado coming, i seemed to stay pretty calm. I FEEL THAT PERHAPS YOU ARE AWARE THAT THERE IS A METAPHORICAL STORM BREWING, I.E. THERE IS AN EVENT OF SOME KIND IN YOUR LIFE WHICH WILL CAUSE YOU UPHEAVAL, SUCH AS A HOUSE MOVE, OR DIVORCE ?? PERHAPS? OFTEN A DREAM OF A STORM MEANS QUITE LITERALLY AN UPHEAVAL IN YOUR LIFE WHICH WIL “BLOW YOU AWAY” FIGURATIVELY SPEAKING OR COMPLETELY CHANGE YOUR LIFE It was me and my kids TO DO WITH FAMILY/CHILDREN/MOTHERHOOD and some other kids i did not know PERHAPS YOU AS A CHILD, OR DENOTING YOUR CHILDHOOD NEIGHBOURHOOD KIDS, NOT NECESSARILY FRIENDS, BUT PEOPLE YOU WENT TO SCHOOL WITH i first was driving and stopped at a grocery store for shelter yet they had the doors locked TRYING TO FIND HELP AT A FAMILIAR PLACE YOU GO TO EVERY DAY I.E. GROCERY STORE, NORMAL COMMONPLACE AND EASY TO FIND HELP THERE. THE DOORS BEING LOCKED THE DREAM IS TELLING YOU THAT IF YOU TRY THE NORMAL ROUTE TO FIND HELP YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED, I.E. THE WAY WILL BE CLOSED TO YOU. We ended up in a house IN YOUR OWN HOUSE, I.E. INSIDE YOUR HEAD I got the kids in the basement and barely made it down myself BUT YOU DID MAKE IT AND YOU MANAGED TO TAKE THE CHILDREN WITH YOU MEANING ULTIMATELY YOU ARE A GOOD MOTHER AND YOU ARE ABLE TO SURVIVE, I.E. YOUR SURVIVAL/MOTHERHOOD INSTINCT IS STRONG AND TRUE. The basement window broke SOMETHING SHATTERED, I.E. AN ILLUSION IN YOUR MIND OF WHO OR WHAT YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF TO BE – WINDOW BREAKING OFTEN MEANS THERE IS AN INTRUSION IN YOUR LIFE OF SOME KIND AND THAT HAS BEEN SHATTERED OR IS ABOUT TO BE SHATTERED AND YOU WILL HAVE TO RECONSIDER THINGS IN LIGHT OF THIS NEW INFORMATION we ended up on the ocean QUITE LITERALLY, IN DEEP WATER…….YOU ENDED UP IN TROUBLE AND THE DREAM IS TELLING YOU WILL DO WHEN THIS ILLUSION IS SHATTERED and i then realized the house would sink YOU HAVE GREAT FEARS FOR YOUR SAFETY AND SECURITY – IS THERE AN ABUSIVE PARTNER HERE, PERHAPS OR A DIVORCE – I THINK MAYBE YOU ARE CONCERNED OVER A RELATIONSHIP.I tried to gather furniture together AGAIN LOOKING FOR SECURITY AND SAFETY to stack up to put the kids on so they wouldn’t drown CHILDREN COMING FIRST SUGGEST THERE IS NO QUESTION YOU ARE A GOOD MOTHER BUT AT WHAT COST TO YOURSELF?. The kids I didn’t know went upstairs and i thought i lost them YOU LOST PART OF YOUR CHILDHOOD, OR PERHAPS YOU LOST THE ILLUSIONS OR ONE OF THEM YOU HAD IN YOUR CHILDHOOD, THAT HOME AND FAMILY WERE SAFE AND SECURE AND NOTHING COULD HURT THEM. Then me and my kids went upstairs and I saw the other kids, they were sitting on chairs with their hands tied behind there backs. I untied them. YOU SET FREE PART OF YOURSELF WHICH WAS TIED – QUITE LITERALLY THE DREAM IS SAYING “MY HANDS ARE TIED” EXCEPT YOU ARE PROJECTING THIS ONTO YOUR CHILDHOOD SELF OR YOUR CHILDHOOD ACQUAINTANCES WHEN IN FACT IT IS YOU WHO FEEL HELPLESS AND UNABLE TO DO ANYTHING……..IF YOU MANAGED TO UNTIE THEM WITH DIFFICULTY – TRY TO RECALL THIS FEELING – THEN YOU WILL UNTIE YOUR OWN METAPHORICAL KNOTS WITH LOTS OF HASSLE – BUT IF YOU UNTIED THEM EASILY YOU WILL UNTIE YOUR OWN LIFE KNOTS EASILY TOO.
Oh and I called my mom to tell her we weren’t going to make it through this. YOU ARE PERHAPS RATHER TOO TIED TO YOUR MOTHER’S PERCEPTION OF WHAT IS PERFECTION IN RELATIONSHIP AND FAMILY AND CHILD-REARING, PERHAPS YOU HAVE TO TELL YOUR MUM THAT YOU CAN’T MAKE IT IN THE WAY SHE MADE IT AS A MOTHER WITH YOU. YOU HAVE TO DO THINGS YOUR WAY AND STAND ON YOUR OWN TWO FEET.

THE REASON IT IS SO UNSETTLING IS THAT THERE IS A LIFE LESSON IN IT AND YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND IS TRYING TO MAKE YOU FEEL UNSETTLED BECAUSE YOU NEED TO LEARN THIS LIFE LESSON. NOW YOU CAN TAKE THIS DREAM TO BE A WARNING OF WHAT MAY HAPPEN, OR YOU CAN TAKE IT TO MEAN THAT THE STORM IS COMING AND RUN OUT TO MEET IT …..CHOICE IS YOURS…….EXAMINE THE LIFE LESSON IN IT AND TURN TO FACE IT, GO INTO THE LESSON THERE AND YOU WILL RIDE IT OUT.

Sorry it seems I was shouting but I find it easier to interpret dreams when I use capitals interspersed with your own language. It is not what you say often but how you say it and you convey the feelings you had. I find when I have what I call a life lesson dream, the feeling of being unsettled stays with you for a good part of the day because your subconscious is trying to get you to call it to mind to make sense of it. I hope I have helped. Your mother is very important in your life and you have a strong bond, but perhaps she overwhelms you sometimes? I know mine often did.Love and Light

Thank you so very much Lizzi!Its interesting you see the storm as my marriage.This would be, yet we seem to be doing fairly well right now. I recently quit smoking and have been struggling with my new smoke free lifestyle. The biggest reason i will not smoke again is to teach my kids.So I ve gained some weight and working with the emotional issues of that but I have made a decision to love myself and live a healthy life. Im finding that my dreams or my guides have been more active with info lately. Im very greatful for your help!! love and light jessica

No worries, Jessica. The storm does not necessarily have to be your marriage, it just seemed to be a storm of some kind, and only you can say what the storm is - I can see that to you the storm is actually emotional upheaval. I agree that your guides and dreams become more active when you ask for help. I wish you the very best of luck with stopping smoking - I stopped nearly 10 years ago and am only now shifting the additional 2 stones I gained!!! I have lost 1 stone and 10lbs in the last few months so it is possible.

Your children are very important to you as it should be, they are our future. I wish you the very best and do not hesitate to continue to note down in a jotter your dreams and post me by pm if you have a private one you wish interpreted.

Hi jessica may I add something. It seems that your on a spiritual path the way you talk. basements can be base values in life. Children can be like new ideas coming into fruition. Now it seems the storms coming to push you away from the spiritual path. Were maybe you will be dragged back by more mundane activities in life. Keep going the way you have been keep your goals in focus no matter what anyone else says or what ever obstacles come in life. Follow your beliefs and heart in the direction you have set out on.

Thank you for your kind words, Jessica, I am originally from USA, but now live in Scotland, so know where you are coming from. The time difference is the only difference, really, we are all one under the skin. If you feel there is no separation between people, and try healing instead of blaming, your spirituality will come on in leaps and bounds. It is important to remember that everything which is out there is a projection of ourselves, and if you heal your inner self in any way, you heal your outer circumstances. It is a really profound truth.
