need help interpreting my dream

I recently had this one dream and been unable to analyze it. My dreams usually have some clear message behind it but this one I have no idea. There were alot of things going on alot of emotions and I just can't put it together.

I was invited to go eat at a taco bell by my ex boyfriend. My family went along and it seemed as if I was in Newark (but I live in New York) and we were driving there. My family insisted to go there with me. We were following the directions give to us via the gps. Suddenly there is a bus which we notice has been going in the same path as us so we attached the gpa to the bus. ANd someone on the bus snatches the gps after a minute. I tell my dad that someone has snatched the gps. But he doesnt seem to care. I get out of the car running toward the bus to get the gps back. On the way another bus gets flipped and I didn't care i was so concentrated on getting the gps back.

And we got lost getting to the taco bell without the gps and my ex bf kept calling me where I am. I started crying tell him all the things that happened. He seemed not to care, and I just decided not to meet him and told him off.

I have no idea what the gps thing was supposed to mean or anything. Any help would be appreciated.

You were traveling by car using a gps. This is a piece of a equipment that directs you on your journey. In dream symbology, the mode of transport in which you are traveling indicates how you are moving through your life. Cars are usually quite fast, but you do not say if you are driving the car or not. This is important, as if you are driving, it means you are in control of your life and how you progress through it, 'in the driving seat' as it were. The fact that you are using a gps to get you to where you are going means you are not relying on your own judgment or you are not making the decisions about what direction you should go in. This analogy could move over into your waking time. Are you not making your own decisions, are you allowing other people's opinions to guide you. You say your family insisted on coming with you, as if you had no choice in the matter!!! The upshot of this in the dream is that you do not get to where you want to be, you 'get lost'.

I would say that the unconscious mind is trying to show you that unless you take control of your own life you may find it difficult to get to where you want to be. You have it within you to achieve all you want to achieve in your life. You just need to have more confidence in your own abilities and not rely on others or the opinions of others.

You are obviously upset about not being able to meet up with your boyfriend, this might indicate there is still an emotional connection there. In the dream your boyfriend seemed indifferent. In real life, did he have a problem showing how he felt about things, leaving you uncertain of how he felt about you.

Firstly getting invited to taco bell may mean that you are perhaps planing to enjoy yourself and fill your sense. This may mean a vacation or a relative supposed to be tasty gathering for starters. Being on passenger with ex-boyfriend may mean that you are giving something from the past a second chance. Being in Newark not New York may mean that you are taking a different personality. Your family going with you may mean that your dependency are with you on this one. A bus going the same road direction may mean where you are headed it's a common thing. (I am not at all clear on what GPA/GPS initials are). Your dad not caring about not having GPS may mean that your life providing is not bothered by the loss of GPS. Getting out of care running to get GPS back may mean you are determined about recovery. Bus getting flipped may mean that the commoners loose their way. Someone snatching GPS may mean there is raised concern. Ex-boyfriend calling you where you are may mean that something from the past expects you settled down. Crying To Ex-boyfriend about what happened may mean wanting feelings felt. Ex-boyfriend not caring about loss may mean that important thing from past does not understand raised concern. Deciding not meeting ex-boyfriend and telling him off may mean that the important thing from past satisfactory with such could not meet.

Getting lost on the way to Taco Bell may mean that plans to satisfy go lost.

PS. If GPS/GPA is a high-tech gadget then this may mean that it is a recommended resource. If GPS/GPA is a executive form then this may mean it is a key to progress.

It is quite common for people to dream of loved ones, that have departed into spirit. when we are asleep, the conscious mind relaxes its grip and the unconscious mind becomes active allowing our minds to become open and sensitive to higher spiritual vibrations. It creates the opportunity for spirit to communicate with us. Or it allows us to travel to the spirit world to communicate with them.

Try not to worry to much about the fact that you could not remember what he said to you. Maybe his presence was more to reassure you that he was ok and also to provide validation, that the human spirit does continue to exist, albeit in a different dimension or vibrational realm.

Alternatively, to dream of a family member, can also be about needing the security of family around us. Familial roots are very important to many and if you have been going through a difficult period in your life, this might be your mind's way of telling you to re connect with family.
