If God made man and gave him an immortal soul,with the capacity of living a Spiritual life,It is highly unlikely that the Spirit should become permantently,wasted withered,since this would amount to,in effect, perminent frustration of god purpose.
where immortal souls go i do not pretent to know,but i find it difficult to believe they go to heaven,in saying that a heaven of their own making,the vision the Spirit will preserve untill the time is favourable its renewed realisation.

what does it mean,here goes,if theres is a god?and he made each one of us immortal beings?then if being immortal spirits,we just wasted our time,and withered away into a self contained prison existance, without trying to gain knowledge,and take responsibilty for our actions, it would in effect be a waste of gods time,making us immortal in the first place, why not just let us have one life human life and when you are dead your dead would have been much more simple? or no exsistance at all?so if we are immortal spirits,then there is much more to exsistance,meaning that human life is not the be all and end all of our exsistance,and after acknowledging that there is more to our exsistance,then we will realize that we are immortal beings,but realizing that all this is possible doesnt mean to me anyway that there is a heaven, that we will all go to,because we are at different levels of understanding,so there is no right or wrong/good evil/heaven hell/ there is just understanding,if you believe that there are angels with wings here now, when you pass over im sure you will see angels with wings,and i think also what ever your belief, you will follow that belief,and like will attact like,so the idea of heaven would be in your understanding,and you would reside with people who have the same idea of heaven as you/if you believe that there is reincarnation/and passed life why would that change ?untill you come to the realization that,nothing we understand here will have any particular bearing on the truth?/ego /freewill/etc are all tools we use,but people will see there uses? or they wont?,most i have spoken too say the "ego" must be suppressed,then in effect you will supress your self,the ego is what will give you knowledge and freewill will free you,and when that happens then you will know, and understand the power of unconditional love,and understand what this god we all talk of really is/hope that kind of explains it zannz/

I am trying to understand too, and I think what you want is maybe the fact that we are all one. We are all parts of the ONE IMMORTAL SOUL. God. If you like there is one tree and we are all its branches. A little branch or twig was broken off and incarnated in a body....I believe in reincarnation, and I believe our soul chooses what to do and which circumstances to be born into each life. When you die, it is simply the shell (your body) which dies, and goes back to dust...your immortal soul returns to its starting point, God. I dont think there is a heaven or hell except of one's own making, and that is on earth, or in spirit, whichever you make it. I think we then choose which lessons we wish to learn in our next lifetime, and you can continue on ad infinitum - indeed immortally - until you have learned the lessons you set out to learn....you can be born within different bodies until you are ascended permanently when you become an ascended master, and help others on their pathway, only choosing to return to help others in the body if you wish so to do.

I hope I have made it clear. I do want to say this is only my understanding of things. I am only one person...but hopefully you can understand we are all related under the skin! that is a nice thought, I think.

Please do not hesitate to ask anymore if you are puzzled. We are all learning and trying to help each other.

the sticking point is prob, that i have used the term we as "individual" immortal souls in stead of all belonging to one.ok im sorry,for the confustion.well its got a disscussion going and that was my main aim?but we do agree we are immortal?you say we choose our lessons?iam saying," the ego" will push you toward that realization,so we both agree?if not about the ego but about the lessons.I havent said i dont believe in reincarnation,there are 5 bodies of reincarnation,human/etheric/causal/astral/spirit/i said if you believe in reincarnation and past life why would that change,untill you come to the realization that nothing we understand here will have any bearing on the truth,isnt that what your saying,we both agree that there is no heaven or hell,only of your own making,and we both agree that we will come to understand uncondidtional love, you choose to use ascended masters to help one another,so my friend what is it that you dont understand,we are in complete agreement on all points we just have different ways of saying it.thanks for your input.
