alligator amongst the weeds

Hi & hope you can figure this dream out for me!! I had been pulling weeds one evening around the front of my home. That night, I dreamed I was pulling weeds around the deck behind my home. There are panels all along the sides of the deck between the ground & the floor of the deck. There were a lot of weeds to pull. I then realized there was an alligator about two feet long laying on the ground in an area where I was just about to pull more weeds. The gator was laying there very still. I was afraid. The dream ended.

Your house is symbolic of you Rosemary, it is your psyche, the mansion of your soul. The weeds around your house could be symbolic of the things in your life that are stagnent and no longer of any use to you. A bit like spring cleaning your mind and body if you like. By getting rid of these weeds or things in your life that are no longer useful to you, in fact clutter up your life preventing you from moving forward and dealing with things with a fresh eye and purpose, energy.

The alligator, like any reptiles have many different connotations. I would say the alligator represents some fear or worry in your life, that is preventing you from moving forward. This could be a person, a habit or an old fear from the past. While you were cleaning out your home, i.e. your mind, psyche, you came accross something lurking in the undergrowth!! This might be an issue you need to look at and because you are fearful of it, you surpressed it and kept it hidden. Having decided to clean up your house as it were..it appeared..

I think this is a very positive dream, you are having a clear out, pulling out the weeds, so that everything is clean and fresh. Water is symbolic of the emotion, to me I would say, that on an emotional level you are looking at issues in your life that prevent you from being truly happy. By removing the weeds you are removing the obstacles that stand in your way. Hope this helps.
