Scary love dream

Some time ago i had this dream. I was in a apartment with two friends. A boy and a girl. I was madly in love with the girl. ( I don't know any of them in real life, but in the dream i had no doubt we were friends.) we were sitting in the living room chatting and having fun. We decided to go for a walk outside. It was dark out on the street. we walked to the end of the apartment building, to a really, really nice car. In beautiful mixed metallic colors. The girl loved the car, and i loved her even more for loving the car. i was so happy and in love. Then a light went down from the sky like a meteor, and it crashed not far away. We all ran toward the crash. When we got to the crash we saw a little UFO. Like the size of a car with a cabin clearly designed for 1 person only. But it was empty. We started to chase the alien from the ship. Somehow we knew exactly where it was. My feelings of love and happiness changed to excitement. Up till now we had met no other people on the streets, but while running toward the alien we met a female police officer also running toward the alien. She held a radio, receiving info on where the alien was. The alien was in a building filled with politicians, like a city hall or something. All of a sudden i was one of the politicians. I saw the alien tear the head of another person. It looked like the aliens from the movie "Alien" or "Independence day". with long thin tentacles instead of arms and legs. I got really scared and ran in the opposite direction than where i saw the alien. I ended up in a public toilet, so i decided to hide in one of the toilet booths. right after i close the door, i hear the alien come in and charge to the booth right next to mine. a man was in there. I could hear him scream as the alien attacked him. Its tentacles pushed the wall between us free from the hences, so i got stuck between the moving wall that the alien pushed up against me, and the wall on the other side of the booth. Thats when i woke up. Too scared to want to dream again right away, i turned on the lights and found my book about dreams, but it only had a vague section about nightmares, so i found nothing out.

An apartment block or house in dream symbolism represents the dreamer. Each room in the house represents an aspect of the dreamers persona. The living room, is where we relax and socialise, its typical of the face we present to the world. How we like to be seen, our image if you like. In your dream you are relaxed and happy. This I would assume is the image you generally present to the world. Some one who is happy, positive and laid back. Friendly and likes to spend time relaxing with friends.

You were with two friends a man and a women, in dream symbolism a man is representing certain male characteristics that the dreamer admires. The women, if the dreamer is a man, is his ideal women, or she may represent qualities that the dreamer admires or should bring out more in himself. This may be his more sensitive, nurturing side, qualities men to have, but predominately associated with women. As you have clearly said in your dream, you were madly in love with this women, so it appears she was your ideal mate..

You decided to go for a walk outside and it was dark, in dreams the dark can indicate that you are literally that in the dark about something. In this instance it appears, you are going out for the evening with this girl. In dreams vehicles are symbolic of how and how fast we move through life. You have a car, with beautiful colours. The car would indicate that you are moving through you life at the moment at quite a fast pace. The different colours on the car have meaning too. If you could be more specific about the colours you remember, then I can tell you what they mean. Also, spiritually these colours could relate to the Chakra's. Or the colours in your auric field, so you see, there is a lot of information there, if you can recall them.

To see a meteor in a dream can indicate that their is about to be a major shift in your life. This could be within your working field or your personal life. Maybe if you have not met that special someone, you might be about to do so, in light of the fact that you had the 'love of your life' with you.. It also can mean that whatever new venture you embark on, will be successful!!

You heard the meteor crash and went running toward it, you are not afraid of new experiences and are eager to learn and discover all that you can. The policewomen, represents law and order, this would indicate to me that in some ways although you like order in your life, you do not like to be restricted by rules or regulations.

The alien in your dream again, you will be encountering change in your life. Something that is not the norm for you, this may have already started. It is interesting that you are afraid of this alien and see it as a monster figure. Usually when dreams take on this nightmarish quality it is because the dreamer is trying to deal with their innermost fears. So that which they fear, takes on the guise of a something terrifying. This is interesting, because, on one hand, you love the excitement of new experiences but in this case the alien may indicate that you are currently experiences changes in your life which you are quite nervous about and are unsure of your ability to cope. The tentacles to me, make me feel I'm being smothered. Maybe you feel that you are also being restricted in some way, and again that makes you feel extremely uncomfortable. Under tremendous pressure.

A very interesting dream, with lots of dream symbolism..

The colors was like this car. shifting depending on where the light falls. Also in blue green and red, but darker than this picture.

Mmmm looking I can see, Green, Red, Purple and some silvery grey or could be lilac..and a bit of black. Have I covered them??

Ok, here goes..

Green signifies a positive change, good health, growth, fertility, healing, hope, vigor, vitality, peace, and serenity. Green is also symbolic of your strive to gain recognition and establish your independence.

Red is an indication of raw energy, force, vigor, intense passion, aggression, power, courage and passion. The color red has deep emotional and spiritual connotations.

Purple is indicative of devotion, healing abilities, loving, kindness, and compassion. It is also the color of royalty, high rank, and dignity

Gray indicates fear, fright, depression, ill health, ambivalence and confusion. You may feel emotionally distant or detached.

Silver represents justice and purity. It is symbolic of some protective energy

Black symbolizes the unknown, unconscious, danger, mystery, darkness, death, mourning, hate or malice.

If the feeling in the dream is one of joy, blackness could imply hidden spirituality and divine qualities.

Ok, these are the symbolic meanings behind the colours you have mentioned. I have focused on their positive meanings rather then there negative as the overiding atmosphere in your dream has been so positive. Obviously, Black, is a colour that is more negative, but you only had a little in it, and the positive interpretation for black, I thought was apt!!

These colours in your aura show you are down to earth and have a lot of green in your aura. It may also indicate that your heart chakra, might be a little overactive. Mind you, in your dream you were full of love for your lady friend..

The Purple to me also indicates that have a spiritual side to you..(well you wouldn't be here would you if you hadn't..at the godlight..) someone of high values and you conduct your business in life in a honourable way.

You describe me very well through this interpretation, so i guess you understood me well. in most part. You misunderstood about the colours though. the picture was to give an idea of the colours kind of fading into another colour as the light changes. the colours of the car in the dream was green, red and blue. no other. or i guess the mix of these colours where there too, but they play no significant role in the entire picture. the true of the colours mentioned dominate the eye. But no matter. you covered the right colours anyway. You really caught who i am, and how i feel.

By the way. I always get afraid of non humans in my dreams. i have been chased and shredded by lions. chased by a black panther. and by a mutation between a bird and a velociraptor. once i was attacked by vampires. I have been attacked by people with knives, and in my childhood i got attacked by a horse standing erect with a big pointy birds beac for a mouth. and in another dream i got shot by a man. Have you had dreams of the future?

Again, how interesting, not great for you, I'm sure it was very very frightening.

Animals themselves have great symbolic meaning. Lions are the kings of the jungle, proud and regal. They are referred to as a Pride of Lions. Being shredded by Lions in your dream may have something to do with that, pride!! At the time of your dream, there may have been issues in your life relating to how you were dealing with a certain situation. You could have been allowing your pride to ruin something for you, or your pride could have been in tatters. Shredded makes me think of tatters. A Black Painter again, another wild animal, black, maybe representing a negative aspect to your psyche that was wrecking havoc in your life.

Being attacked by vampires mythological creatures, who drain the blood of their victims, it might signify that your life blood was being wasted, in loss of energy. You may have had at the time people in your life who were a drain on your energy, sucking the life out of you. You see?? Its all symbolic. Now the Horse with big pointy birds beak, almost sounds Egyptian doesn't it. Take it in two parts, the back end is the horse, a strong symbol representing movement and strength. The bird symbolises freedom and flight the ability to rise up high above life's problems.

If you are struggling or fighting with these animals in your dreams you are at odds, in conflict with these aspects of yourself. Again, if you can remember what your life was like at the time of these dreams it can offer clues as to what you were struggling with!!

Dreams are a window into the unconscious mind, that is closed shut for most of our waking day. Sometimes day dreaming can allow us entry, or going into a relaxed mediative state. Nightmares are anxiety related and although on the surface they appear frightening, underneath, they are trying to give us clues as what is going on with us and sometimes helpful insight nudging us in the right direction. Also facing up to situations that make us nervous or scare us while we are asleep help to desensitise us to them, enabling us to deal with these scenario's if we get confronted with them in waking time.

Aww thank you so much for such a lovely compliment...

I would say that it is a bit of both, I have always been interested in dreams and over the years have bought dream books, which I have read, and of course then they have given me a base to work from. Also from the energy of the body i.e. the Auric field and the Chakra's, I have learned about that because of my deep interest in healing and energy. So in a sense my knowledge has grown over the years.

I only started doing the dream board about 18 months ago, I took over from my really good friend on here Lisette Davidson, who was brilliant at this. She was big shoes to fill, but Leon asked me if I'd like to do it and said, just be you, don't try to be anyone else.

I found that when I am interpreting someones dream I have the dream symbology in my mind, but when I am typing the interpretation I find my intuition kicks in, and I start connecting with the dreamer, its actually quite intimate and I feel very privileged that people are willing to share what really is a very private thing to them. Our dreams reveal an awful lot about ourselves.

When people have nightmares, it can be very frightening and worrying to them, one part of doing this job is that it gives me the opportunity to explain to people that often the things that scare us the most in our dreams are the most important. It is our minds trying to either warn us about something, tell us something isn't right, that they are ignoring something vital to them. Often dreams can reveal health problems, not just life situations which are detrimental to their well being, or they cannot find a way to deal with it.

So I do get so much out of doing this and I love it, so long may the dreams keep coming..

tharuu hello.....i thought i would give it a try....remember that i just do this for fun, but at the time you had this dream....were you having money problems and you were spending the money on something else other than what the money should of been spent on? If so you thought this things would make you happy and feel like you belonged and accepted. you were confuse at the time and what you wanted to do was stop and enjoy life, but what you did was try to cover up your sadness and stress. You should of taken a different perspective on your problem, no matter how different it would have been. Its showing me that you are having difficulties at adapting and you are feeling guilty and know that you need to put a end to your reckless behaviors. you need to choose. Your refusing to see the truth and confront the situation despite the pain, but your feeling like you lost control and your angry. You now need to release your emotions and it rid of the problem, its useless. You dont need to be ashamed. You can start all over.

This is awsome. You say that i should pick out what fits me, but you both describe me. I mean.. Through this one dream everyone that reads this board will know more about the inside of my head, and whats going on in my heart, than anyone other than myself.. Even after several hours at a shrink he didnt know half of this.. I wouldnt dare share one more dream or u would probably be able to tell me my secrets.. I didnt know that i was pouring out my heart. Tharuu its like tarot cards. I have a dream dictanary that i look up...i look up certain words in your dream. most of them have many meanings, but only certain ones grab my attention. then i write them down. and when im done. i read over them all. Then it just comes to me what they all mean, what they are all trying to tell you. its good to share your dreams. your dreams are there to guide you. you dont always have to post your dreams on here...you can personal message us and ask. but its nice to be able to share with everyone tho, because it could help someone else down the line. hugs Dea

I think you are really sweet to people, and the things you write in the chat is what i believe. Have believed for some time now. Like i have followed in parts of your path to learn the truth. But you know alot more than me, yet i know some things that you are learning. Well back to the point. Even though i feel some connection to you, even you are not allowed to know my darkest secrets, so PM wouldn't be enough.. the only way for me to share more would be for me to learn what i say first.
