Hello

I have just registered here so am not quite sure what I am doing. It took a few attempts for me to register here but not quite sure why

I will just say a little about myself as I am not sure even where this message will end up lol. I am 55years old. I have been recently widowed. I lost my husband Alan on 17th June 2008 and am still trying to come to terms with the big change in my life. I was married to Alan for 35 years and I hold on to my wonderful memories and the fact I know he is with me in spirit.

I work full time as a Legal Secretary (all legal aid work). I have one son aged 30 who lives with his girlfriend Carly and little Alfie. I am blessed in that I still have my parents and have two sisters and two brothers. I suppose I should also mention my cat "Shadow" lolol. I bought him recently and he has become my little buddy lol he is always there for me lol.

I do not follow any particular religion (although I was brought up as a Catholic) but I would describe myself as being spiritual. I believe that we are all one, that we are all on this planet to learn from life, that everything we experience, the good and the bad, are all for a reason.

Anyway, I best keep this brief lol.....and just hope it ends up somewhere here where people can respond. So, please bear with me as I browse this site lol. I am sure I will eventually know what I am doing lol. You all have a wonderful day and looking forward to connecting with some of you.

Its really lovely to meet you, welcome to The God Light...

You have had a lot to come to terms with in your life, the loss of a beloved life partner is a very hard void to fill. You seem a lovely positive lady, I am sure you will find a lot of like minded people here to chat with and make some nice new friends.

I too was raised a catholic, but like you do not follow a set religion now and would consider myself a spiritual person. There is something about being a catholic it would seem that even when lapsed, we are still very much drawn to a spiritual way of being...a good grounding maybe..

I loved the ritual and the energy but found the ethos a little too black and white for me..life is full of betweens, isn't it..

I am a avid reader of all types of spiritual books, especially those on healing. I am a level 2 reiki practitioner and love to use crystals. I am very much into their different holistic qualities and the way they can be used as an amplifier and focus in healing and meditation.

I have two cats and a dog and find that they are great company..they are loving and very loyal and as you say, always there for us no matter what mood we are in...

I look forward to seeing you in the chat room and here on the boards..
