Lizzie question for ya? My mom and I are very connected, sometimes its scarey how connected we are, lol. The other night we had a dream the same night that had the same couple in it, friends of our family. I am not sure if there is something that will happen to them or if its something they represent. I just think its soo odd that they would be in both our dreams the same night. Any ideas about this? jess

Very interesting, Jess. It seems to me that it may be the first stage in a process which will eventually lead you to lucid dreaming. A gentleman known as St-Denys in France at the turn of the century did some experiments in lucid dreaming, and he actually arranged to meet his friend at a certain time and place on the bank of a river, and agreed to go to sleep at the same time and meet the next day whilst awake, to confirm that they had indeed met in dreams. Now it took a bit of experimentation, but IT HAPPENED. So, in theory, you can wake up within your dreams and experience the same thing. The fact that your mother and yourself are so close actually suggests that you may have been together in other lives. When there is a special connection between two friends, spouses, or even members of the same family, it is often because they have shared memories. Perhaps these friends of yours were also in the same "soul circle" in a past life. There is a theory that each time we reincarnate into a new life we are destined to meet and reconnect with certain of our "soul circle" of souls who shared experiences with us in other lives - sometimes this is in order to resolve certain conflicts, or sometimes it is to complete something unfinished from a previous life - either way, although it may appear that these connections or meetings are random meetings, they are often preordained, in that your soul before reincarnation has arranged to meet up - much like, in fact, in lucid dreaming - perhaps our whole life is God's dream.
Wow, I just thought of that - maybe its true - maybe its all a mirage, and God is dreaming all of us!! cor, mind-blowing that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, though, if you find that these friends of yours have been friends for a time (and for example, you know before you pick up the phone it is them phoning you) then you may find there are other connections between you from previous lives..........try an experiment - see if you and your mother can arrange to meet in a dream...name a place you both know and love - it can even be an imaginary place - but preferably a place from your childhood, say, a place you went for picnics as a family - and arrange a time and then go to sleep with that thought in each of your heads. If you can meet up, the next day tell each other what you were wearing- dont tell each other this the night before! its a test to see if it really happened.
Good luck - I shall be very curious to know if you can achieve it - just out of interest, have you ever had false awakenings....these are when you wake up, turn off the alarm clock and get up, then you wake up for real and realise that the alarm is going off..............this is apparently the precursor to lucid dreaming.

ahhh Thanks soo much Lizzie!!! My mom and I do know when we are calling eachother and in fact we call eachother at the exact same time a real lot. I will talk to her and work on meeting up in dreams. I know she will do it! And yes I do have dreams of the alarm or my kid will wake up and I am sleeping yet i will acknowledge him and then will wake up and he will walk into the room. Its very interesting, lol thought I was going mad!lol Thanks!! jess Ps ill let you know when my mom and I try this. This reminds me of when my mom got engaged. In my dream I was my mom and I was a company picnic. My friend introduced me to a man and it was love at first sight. He got down on one knee and proposed to me. I told my mom the dream and told her sh would be getting married. We both laughed about it. Two weeks later she was at a company picnic and a guy she likes was there. My mom cant see well and didnt know he was there. She was with a friend of hers and her friend walked up to this guy, he put his arm around her and asked her out. A few weeks later he proposed to her. It is something ill never forget! This Kinda thing happens to me every now and again. ok enough of me babbling, lol jess

not babbling, Jess, BUBBLING....i feel your energy so much at times, too, just as you feel mine. Its a wonderful gift to be so exuberant and STOP PUTTING YOURSELF DOWN ABOUT IT, girl, you have a wonderful gift that you share with your mother...That is a lovely story. Often dreams of weddings can be about divorce, and dreams about death about birth, the opposite, but a dream of a proposal can be a proposal of a business kind rather than personal but in your case, it was actually prophetic! What a wonderful gift - I honestly cant say I have ever had a dream which prophesied an event which has gone on to happen in my life. Maybe that is a special gift I do not have. I am delighted that you are going to try the lucid dreaming experiment with your mum. Please keep a journal about it and write it all down and let me know about it by posting your experiences....I would be really fascinated to discover how it went.

Lizzie's right though, you put yourself down far to much, you have a very special gift. Nurture it and it will just grow and grow.
