My dreams

These I dreamed in one night.
1. I was in a department store with my grandma and mom. (My grandma is now deceased.) We were walking along when we noticed two pythons on the floor. Each python directed itself at me, one in front of me and one behind me. They followed my every move. My grandma and mom were silent observers. I tread carefully and when I got the chance, I ran out of the store without my grandma and mom.
2. Then I was in a room that looked like a classroom. A girl began to verbally assault me from the front of the room. I told her in an angry tone that she needed to listen.
3. I found myself in another place. I was about to leave when a woman invited me to stay an eat with her. It looked like we were in a food court. I accepted her invitation.

I'd like to know what all of this could mean.

A big department store may be symbolic of your psyche, the different departments representing different aspects of you. For example the clothes department reflecting how you wish to be seen by others or how you see yourself. The bathroom department connected to emotion, cleansing, purification, the Kitchen section where food is prepared or cooked representing emotional and mental nourishment and sharing this with others.

Your Mom and Grandma are with you, to dream of family members can be symbolic of the need to connect with family members. A desire for the familiar and the sense of security that that brings. Also the Mother and Grandmother figures are aspects of you, the caring, maternal, nurturing side of your nature.

In this dream you also see pythons (snakes), these are often symbolic of the sensuous side of the dreamer. It can indicate that you are struggling with this side to your nature. You say that your Mother and Grandmother are silent observers to this and you side step the Pythons and quickly run away from them. Certain conditioning from an early age, or experiences from an early age can affect how we view certain things in our life. Our sensuality and femininity are natural parts of being human beings and are part of a loving, caring relationship. If we are uncomfortable with anything in relation to this private, intimate part of our life, then look at it, and if you do not feel comfortable with anything then you assert yourself and say that this is not for you. If it is about suppressing this aspect of yourself because of ones upbringing, try to rise above the situation and inform yourself more, either through seeking advice or reading more so that you see things from a broader non judgmental perspective.

You are in a classroom, classrooms in dreams usually indicate the need or desire of the dreamer to educate oneself more. Or they are in a learning situation. The girl in the dream who is verbally assaulting you, could either be someone who you are connected to in waking hours in this situation, or an aspect of yourself that is trying to communicate something important to you. You did not say what the young girl was actually saying to you. Only you can say what you feel this situation is about! You were angry back at her, so this would suggest to me that there is some internal conflict going on here??

You were then invited to eat with another women, eating, sharing nourishment with another is about assimilating and sharing idea's. You were happy to do this, so this would suggest that you are open to the idea's and thoughts of others and like to share yourself. Being with like minded people is important as it gives us the opportunity to air our own views and to take on board those of other people. This can motivate us and take us many different directions that we might not have thought about if we had remained solitary.
