My daughter had a dream and she never mentions dreams to me really so i was wondering what anybody might think about this one...
ok, IN her dream she had just gotten a Huge Green Parakete as a pet....she went looking for a nice cage for the bird and in her search she only found cages of the wrong size...either way too big or way to small, so she didnt get a cage and just kept the bird...
That's the dream?? Any thoughts or feelings??
Thanks! Love, Ilona

Hi Ilona, Birds are another common dream symbol sometimes appearing soaring high in the sky, sometimes trapped in a cage. Birds have several different dream meanings and specific birds also have their own specific function in dreams. Thinking about the actions of waking life birds helps us unravel their dream meaning. Birds are known for their songs, chattering away to their kind and talking to us too if only we could understand them. In fact, there exists in mythology something known as "The Language of the Birds" which is a text that contains the original language spoken by humanity. It is said that anyone who can decipher the Language of the Birds will have complete understanding not only of other languages, but of the mysteries of life itself. The Language of the Birds is also known as the Angelic Tongue, supposedly being the language the the angels themselves speak. With such an emphasis on birds' ability to communicate, it seems pretty obvious that a dream bird may represent communication of some form. The bird may be a herald, bringing news about something which may soon come into being in waking life. Birds in flight may symbolize freedom from limitation in much the same manner as flying dreams. This ability to fly also makes birds symbolic of the soul set free from the body. Bird dreams are usually very pleasant dreams with positive symbolism. They are most likely serving as messages from the soul indicating positive change. Spread your own wings and fly along with them. Your daughter's dream showed that she tried to cage this bird, but couldn't find a cage that would fit. I feel that this may indicate that there is a free side to her nature, which to thinks she has to suppress, having tried unsuccessfully to find a cage that would fit, I think this should show her, that she should not try to shut off that side to her nature, she needs to let her soul fly free, as a bird flying free in the sky. Green signifies a positive change, good health, growth, healing, hope, vigor, vitality, peace, and serenity. Green is also symbolic of your strive to gain recognition and establish your independence. You didn't say which daughter had this dream Ilona, but I would say it would fit in both cases. Your elder daughter, striking out to be more independent, and your younger daughter, approaching womanhood, and her blossoming need to assert her individuality. A lovely dream, Ilona..as always only take from this that which resonates for you and your daughter, and leave the rest.. Love and light Kaz
