I had this very strong dream last night and would love to share it with you. I have my own thoughts on it, but would love to hear yours.
I am with my boyfriend and we are visiting this very beautiful old house, with an antique shop attached to it. My boyfriend and I are talking with this lovely old gentleman whose house and shop it is.
He is showing me this glass cabinet that holds some beautiful jewelry and crystals. He tells me that I need a magnifying glass to examine the crystals more closely. My boyfriend gives me one to hold. It is three magnifying glasses in one. A big one at one end, a long one in the middle and a small one on the end. For different strengths. The piece of crystal I take out of the cabinet to examine is called Chryasocolla. It is a beautiful mint green in colour and it is in its raw state. The old gentleman says that it will enable me to see better its texture and colour, as all these things are important.
The old gentleman has to go out and he asks me if I will look after his shop for him. A elderly gentleman comes in with his little granddaughter. She is about 7 or 8 years old. He tells her that she can pick whatever she wants from the shop. She chooses a bracelet. He gives it to me and asks me how much it is. I take out my magnifying glass, so I can see it more clearly, and I can see that it is a bracelet with a torc shape. It has rubies fashioned at one end and Sapphires fashioned at the other. Like little grapes. In the centre there are beautiful amethysts. I say to the elderly gentleman, that the stones are not glass, they are rubies, amethysts and sapphires, and is probably worth thousands of pounds. Although it is small, as if made for a child's wrist. We look inside to check to see if there is a jewelers marking, to say that the stones are real, and yes they are, there is the marking M on all of the stones inside. The bracelet at first looks as if it is silver, but I look closely and see that it is actually Gold.
The Old gentleman who owns the shop returns, and I ask him how much the bracelet is, but fear it is very expensive as the stones look real to me, not glass. he confirms it, and says it is indeed worth a lot of money. The elderly gentleman has to leave it as it is too expensive for him. I wish we could give it to him, for what he can afford, but alas, it isn't my shop. (I have just thought, in real life, my registered name is Margaret
When I was born, my given name was Karen Margaret, my Mum asked my Dad to register my birth. It was only when I was in my twenties that I actually saw my birth certificate and I saw my Dad had actually registered me as Margaret Karen, even my Mum had not been aware of it. Apparently, my Dad wanted to get in my Grandmother's good books whose name was Margaret, and swapped the names around..lol Wether this has any significance or not I don't know, I only thought of it while typing this out, not when I woke from the dream.
