What does love mean to you. How do people show you love, that you feel and how do you show love to others?

To me, actions always speak louder then words. Its not that we are told we are loved, its in the way we are shown, or show others we love them.

My husband always lies on my side of the bed first when we go to bed, so as to warm the bed up for me. When I get in he rolls over on to his cold side. Although, I do pull him back to share my warm spot. That to me is love. When I am tired, he notices, and runs a bath for me. Will keep the boys quiet so I can go for a lie down. When I am down, he suggests doing the things, that he knows I love doing. The thoughtful things he does do for me, show me more then words can say, that he loves me.

Love is an inner warmth that you feel & want to share with others, it is a total unselfishness feeling, you will do anything to make sure that you can make the people you love happy. I feel love from people from the way they react towards me in times of need etc. it's a mixture of all the good emotions & acts i.e kindness, caring etc the saying "if you love someone set them free" is good because you want the person you love to be happy. Good thread Leon, it's got me thinking !

YES Zanna I beleive the same. I am reading Conversations with God and it talks about choosing love not fear. That to live this love and ask when you do something for others is out of love or fear. Love is what we ARE! God bless!! jess oh and lots of LOVE!

Love IS everything and everywere. We ARE Love Because God IS love, and we are one with god. All we have to do is remeber Who we are and we have found our first love. Then our self (love)will flow freely to all around. Nothing has to be done for love it just is! and When one finds this love all the peace, joy and happiness is yours. To share with all in the world. I wrote the following words several years ago, I have seen them since read out in churches and even found them copied on other websites. I have received emails from dozens of strangers telling me they have found this site and loved the words I wrote. Love has no beginning or end it just is.

Give me a reason for your actions! How can you say you have so much love, yet fail to understand how to employ it? Love is made up of three main parts giving, cherishing and growth. If love is given freely as it always should be, there are many rewards far greater than just having it returned in favour. Your own soul seeks love; it cherishes to be at one with all, as everything that is at one, in at-one-ment or in a state of agreement has the opportunity to evolve. Without the sun, a flower could not grow. As with your soul, without the light of another it cannot grow. You are all suns that radiate outwards, towards each and everyone. Giving of this love enables your soul and other souls the chance to grow. Used wisely love surpasses all worldly feelings! Tell me what feelings come with the growth of a child, the growth of a relationship. Does not this love increase over time, is not love the overriding factor. Show me a man that does not love, therefore you show me a man that does not grow within himself. Show me a man that does not give, therefore you show me a man that knows not the meaning of love. Show me a man that does not cherish all that he says he loves, therefore you show me a man that does not appreciate the love he holds in his hands.
