eating brains

hi, I was advised to share my dream here:

I was at a restaurant with a friend,
and I got a dish served who seemed like black colliflower or so.
When i was a abotu to taste some,
I noticed that the blake(ened) colliflower looked like human brains.
I told my friend it looked like human brains,
and we were both curious but kinda freaked otu about eating it too.
The more we both observed " the dish" the more interesting it was,
but the idea of actually eat it, freaked us out more and more.
On teh one hand it felt liek an unique opportunity to really look at the brains, glands, cut open skull wiht still parts of the mouth, tongue and etc attached, wehn i think of it now, I cnnot remeber to have seen eyes.
It as very peculiar, very real, but the brains were blackened, mayeb by steaming or cooking or anything.
I dared to cut open the brains or seperate them a bit because
I said to my friend, here, look at the hypopthalamus, this is the part that shoudl be the most insteresting ( to eat) or taste or whatever, but I didnt dare to cut it out or even eat it.
My friend looked wiht me to this all, and siad, look here's the tongue still in the skull and he pushed some kind of muscle with his knife or fork, and the tongue came out, a bit slimy;
I was very much certain by now NOT to eat from the dish anymore, because the more we looked the more i realised this came form a real human, and the more ' human it felt...

What an interesting dream you have had....

When we dream of sitting down and eating a meal with friends or other people, food is equated to mental nourishment, in the form of idea's and inspiration,so what we are doing is sharing these things with others, giving and receiving. Your brains are steaming, to me this would indicate again, anxiety, things are overheating, coming to the boil. This might indicate that you have allowed some issue in your life, to come to a head. In some respects this is not always a bad thing, it forces us to deal with the situation. But I would recommend that if this is the case, that you do deal with it, as it is not good for our general health to allow ourselves, to become so stressed out. It might also indicate that you feel angry about something. Dreams can sometimes, be a nudge from our subconscious mind, about our health. Maybe you could get your blood pressure checked!!

Using a knife to cut through your brains, you are attempting, to get to get to the root cause of the issue at hand. Brains in dream scape represent mental stress, conflict, being caught up in the head. The fact that the brain, is black, could also indicate that there is a element of depression here. You say that looking into the bowl, you thought you saw some tongue and maybe eyes, but not sure. When we dream of a tongue, it is related to communication. Are you holding your tongue about something, not speaking your mind. If you are under stress at the moment, this inability to express yourself, may be the cause. Are their eyes in there or not, are you seeing what is in front of you, or not??

The hypothalamus gland is called the Brain, of the brain!! It's the regulator, it is extremely important, in controlling body temperature, blood pressure, fluid balance, i.e. hydration, and body weight. So this is all very relevant to your dream. Again, I would say, that your body may literally be saying to you, Get Checked Out!!
