She Was crying -----------------
Just a little girl only five years old,
So innocent so pretty with a heart of gold.
Innocence got taken away that day,
By a punter old and grey.
Another attempt by her father,
To take her heart away.
He was lying,
While she was crying.
He would lay on her,
Put her to the test.
While she kicked and screamed,
She tried to protest.
Not a care in the world,
For whose heart he'd break.
Only a devilish greed,
For the money he'd make.
Now ten years old,
Heart nearly gone,
Daddy told her,
He wanted a son.
Scared for her life,
She ran away,
But they took her back,
She had to stay.
Nobody to talk to,
Mothers ears were closed,
Into a deep depression,
She quietly dozed.
Thirteen now life has not changed,
Secretly taking contraception,
So her face wont be rearranged.
She found a friend in whom she had trust,
Told him how her heart was ripped out,
By that man so unjust.
They got help and he was sent away,
Three years in four walls is where he got to stay.
This little girl now thirty years old,
Went walking through life,
With a heart so cold,
Now so happy,
Six kids of her own,
No longer feeling ,
That she's all alone.
Having a sense right now,
Of where she belongs,
She taught herself,
How to be strong.
She was crying, dying,
But now she's a happy soul,
Giving people the will to live,
Being her goal.

I wrote this poem 3 years ago. Way before the publication of my book. Please allow for any mistakes, but I wanted to post this just as I wrote it back then.

Dear Sara,
I would like to thank you for a great evening in the chat room last night. It was lovely to talk to you about your experiences, and the way it has shaped your life. I hope we get to chat again!!!
The poem, is beautifully written. The words tug at the heart and paint a vivid picture, of lost innocence. You have a very special gift, and its clear to see that you have a creative and bright future ahead of you.
Love and light Kaz
