I'd like to recommend a book called " The Light Worker's Way" by Doreen Virtue..PhD I just want to share part of the foreword with you:- In the Infinity of Life when we all are, all is perfect, whole and complete. This is the truth of our being. We were born knowing this truth. Yet many of us have forgotten. Perhaps we were raised by parents who had learned to see life through fearful eyes. Fear can go back many generations. Our parents and grandparents and great-grandparents might have also lost this truth. When we are raised by fearful people, it is easy to lose touch with the essence of who we really are. I truly believe that we are Divine Magnificent Expressions of Life, with immense capabilities. We have talents and abilities within us that we have not even began to tap. You are a lightworker if you:- Feel called to heal others. Want to resolve the world's social and environmental problems Believe that spiritual methods can heal any situation Have had mystical experiences, such as psychic premonitions or angelic encounters Have endured harsh life experiences that eroded the knowledge of your divine perfection Want to heal your own life as a first step in healing the world Feel compelled to write, teach, or counsel about your healing experiences and Know that you are here for a higher purpose, even if you are unsure what it is or how to fulfill it Everywhere on the planet, RIGHT now, lightworkers are awakening to faint memories of why they came to earth. They hear an inner calling that cannot be ignored. This is just a taster everyone, I hope you enjoy the book.. Love and light Kaz

I'd like to recommend ' Life and Teaching of the Masters of the Far East' by Baird T. Spalding. It's a 6 book boxed set that describes Spalding's travels in the Far East. He talks about his experiences and encounters with the many Masters who are assisting and guiding the destinies of mankind. Here are a few of the topics covered: In book 1 Covers and introduction of the Master Emil.. a visit to the "Temple of Silence"... Astral projection... Walking on water... Visit to the Healing Temple... and more. In book 2 He covers a visit to the Temple of the Great Tau Cross... visit with the Master Jesus... Jesus discusses the nature of hell: the nature of God... The mystery of thought vibrations... and more. In book 3 One of the masters speaks of the Christ consciousness.. The nature of cosmic energy and the list goes on. I think just the little bit of the first three books gives you an idea how comprehensive this set is... it's a heavy read but well worth it. Happy reading... God bless... xxx Silvia

lol.... Here I am again... " Embraced by the Light" by Betty J. Eadie is another good read. It's been around for a while... so I hope you can get your hands on a copy. Here's an bit from the foreward by Melvin Morse, M.D. He says... "Embraced By The Light is really a testbook of the near-death experience, written as a simple and wonderful story that we can all understand. There is a great secret contained in this book. It is the secret that you already know. It is something that the great prophets and spiritual leader have tried to tell us for thousands of years. Betty Eadie learned it by nearly dying. It has the power to change your life." Happy reading... God Bless...xxx Silvia

Okay... last one for bit.... I'll give you all time to read... lol. " The Four Agreements" and " The Voice of Knowlege" both by Don Miguel Ruiz. He has more but these two are the only ones I've read to date. In The Four Agreements he reveals the source of self-limiting beliefs that rob us of joy and reate needless suffering. Based on ancient Toltec wisdom, the Four Agreements offer a powerful code of conduct that can rapidly transform our lives to a new experience of freedom, true happiness, and love. The Voice of Knowledge expands on these ancient Toltec teachings. Very interesting and simple to grasp... enjoy! Happy reading... God bless... xxx Silvia

I'm sure most of you have heard of and probably read the " Celestine Prophecy" , " The Tenth Insight" and " The Celestine Vision" .... by James Redfield and yes I have read them all... but the one book I really recommend for anyone wanting to do some inner work based on the insights... " An Experiential Guide" by James Redfield and Carol Adrienne. This book is full of both individual and group exercises. I have gone through these exercises a few times over the years... and each time I do, something new pops up... the last time I took a group through the book... I highly recommend this one. Happy reading... God bless! Silvia

Deepak Chopra's " The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success" is another good one to read. I don't have the book, rather I have this one on audio and listen to it while driving... it takes you right back to basics... explains how the simplest traditions we grew up with work within the natural laws... makes you ask yourself ... why didn't mom ever explain it that way?... lol. Enjoy! Happy reading... God bless! Silvia

Hi Friends, I am not sure if this qualifies as a spiritual book. However, this is the book I am reading at the present time. It is called " The Divine Comedy" by Dante Alighieri. I haven't finished reading it yet. Some of you may be familiar with this classic work from the 1300's. It is written in three parts. you can buy them individually, or as one complete volume. I have the complete volume. I have read the first part, which is called "Inferno" (hell) I am reading th second part noq called "Pourgatorio" (purgatory, and the last part is called 'Paradiso" (paradise) This masterpiece written by the esoteric Dante is poetry, said to have been written over a period of twenty years. I dare not share my take on it completely until I have read the very last page. But, for those who enjoy this type of intense reading, it's a home run in my humble oinion. If anyone reading this has read "The Divine Comedy" I would sure love to hear your comments. And to those of you who have the time, I highly recomend it. It is my considered opinion it is worth the read. Bright Blessings Linda

Two books that I would ask people to try are both written by Paul Ferrini. The reason is simple they make sense. We have talked about his words on the message board before and everyone is in awe at his wisdom. The two books that I have read are " The silence of the heart" and " Miracle of Love". Please try to read one at least, you will not be dissapointed.

I Was talking in the chat room last night about books by mediums that are uplifting and I brought up the name of the book " Proud Spirit " By Rosemary Altea. For anyone interested in mediumship who has been through troubled waters there is no greater book in this sort of category. The author inspires others through her own pain, to do what is right for their soul. The book also is very helpful on the life of a medium and what brings them to seeing spirit and working with spirit. God Bless

The author is Jiulio Consiglio. The book is Challenge Your Thoughts: Healing Mind, Spirit and Body with Truth. Every sentence on the page is from Presence or Consciousness. Peace, Lila

Hi Sylvia, I have read "Embraced by the Light" , by Bettie J. Eadie. Actually, I pick up the same copy and read it everytime I feel the need to be transported to another world. And, with every new read, I cry, and rejoice all over again! It is a beautiful revelation of Love. Laura...

I have completed and self published a book called "Conversations on Life' . Sub title - the little book of answers to life's big questions
It may sound pretentious but I honestly believe it holds a powerful message that holds the potential to do just what the title claims.
It is culmination of a spiritual journey that for me started over 40 years ago.
It is only a small book but it holds a powerful message. Here is extract from the preface of the book
"The concepts which are brought forward in this material are without question both powerful and profound. Taken to the limit these concepts outline a broad understanding of the nature of creation from the intention behind it, the mechanics of it, to the underlying laws governing the physical universe in which we live as a result."
The book is available on line from lulu.com in either paperback or can be downloaded in an eBook format.

One book that was probably among the first to have a spiritual effect on me was a fictional paperback (amazon has copies of it) called 2150 A.D.about macro and micro thinking. When I first read it there were parts of it that amazed me because they WERE what I'd been dreaming. It has the same feel to me that Celestine did when I first read it. Just nice to know there are others.

Hi guys, I would recommend a book I think I have mentioned in the chat room not long ago - 'An Angel for Every Day' by Angela McGerr. Its an amazing book that offers practical meditations with the angels and it contains all the months of the year and the angels specifically associated with that month and therefore that star sign. She also explains about just how many angels there really are amongst us - from 'Eth' the angel of time to 'Aratron' the angel of earth magic. The illustrations of this book are absolutely amazing, they are by Richard Rockwood, they are partly the reason why I bought this book, simply awe-inspiring to look at. It is said that Angela and Richard work together and meditate and the angels communicate with them to tell them how they wish to be portrayed. The cover is shiny and hard to miss so I would urge you to at least check this book out. Here is a comment from Angela that she states in the front of the book: ''This book furthers your journey on the angelic Way of Love and Light, the way of the open heart. As you work with the angels and unconditional love, you allow water of life to pour into the chalice of your heart. As your heart flower opens and unfolds to radiate love and beauty around you, you have truly moved far along the Way'' Also if you guys are interested, other works by Angela include: A Harmony of Angels Harmony Angel Cards Angelic Abundance Gold & Silver Guardian Angels Hope you can check them out!, they are well worth it. xx Love and Light.

I haven't really read much by Doreen Virtue, she is supposed to be very good, I've got the angel cards of hers though which are nice and quite accurate, tells you how to lay them out into different spreads. Also numerology and things like that I've never really explored, sounds interesting though. My number happens to be 7 as I saw a star formation shaped like a question mark one night with seven stars so ever since then I've kind of adopted it lol

A truly remarkable work by Nisargadatta Maharaj, called I AM THAT.Not everybody is ready for this! It brings everything back to THAT, the unknowable unmanifest reality that enlivens us all. Inside this Consciousness everything comes into Being, like a dream. Therefore it shows that absolutely everything is possible, quite a lot is probable, but that actually NOTHING IS REAL! This takes a lot for us to take on board, especially as we have all built up our own personal concepts and invested years in certain Paths, religions or philosophies. The idea that there is but One Consciousness that is forever reflecting its potential in the universe, through us all, and that none of us has any actual substance, ... well. like I said, giving up personal subjectivity and self volition is not something our ego volunteers for! But, if you are ready for a glimpse of reality, this is for you.

I avoid reading books which have become popular. I am looking over my bookshelf to find one which will not make me look like I am crazy. Here is a nice one "The Way of Transcendence", subtitled "Christian Faith without Belief in God", Alistair Kee, Pelican Book From the back page: "Ours is an age of faith, but not belief." Man wish to be committed, but for more and more people belief in God has become impossible. It is Alistair Kee's contention that 'the future of Christianity is not viable unless we can find a way of presenting it which includes the old doctrine of God, but does not demand belief in God as a prior condition of becoming a Christian.' I have a suspicion that I did not quite achieve my goal of coming across as sane.

I'd like to recommend "The Presence Process" by Michael Brown - not a quick read - more of a work book - and rather expensive to buy - I borrowed a copy from a friend - but well worth both the time and expense. I'll quote a little from the back cover - "In showing us how to step beyond our personal physical, mental, and emotional afflictions and addictions, and by empowering us to facilitate ourselves into wholeness, The Presence Process takes a bold step into a new paradigm of healthcare" I have found my experience of the process to be very challenging - but certainly rewarding. One of the most valuable books I have read
