Hello all, I thought I'd introduce myself to this site as I have known about Harry Edwards work for many years. My Greatgrandmother visited him many times, and the rest of the family too. My mother saw Ray Branch many years ago when she was very ill. I was a small child, but she told me all about it. About how she always came away feeling very peaceful and relaxed. My mother is once again very ill. I had been wondering if she wanted to come back to Ray again, when she brought it up herself. I am determined to get her to back there, to give her that same sense of peace. I too have always wanted to come and see it for myself.

Hi Jemima, welcome to our group. Lot's of people love Harry Edwards here, I have read most of his books myself, they are simple and informative healing wise. You should visit the sanctuary if you get a chance and see Ray Branch.
God bless I hope to see you on the site again soon.

Sorry folks, you won't find Ray there - I'm not sure of the reasons but I'm not sure it was a pleasant parting.
Ray took over the place when my Grandpa died - we carried on going there as my Grandma lived there for several more years but there was some presure for her to leave. I was very sad about that - it had been the place that both my mum and dad and most of my family had been brought up and, as a child, it was a great place to play, to get lost, and to irritate people coming for healing by playing Beatle's tunes extremely badly on an old wheezing peddle organ.
I have not been back but I know several members of the family have been invited to see the people who are running the sanctuary now. I understand that they are supporting my aunt to write a personal history of my Grandpa - its nearly finished I think - I'll ask about it and let you all know.
Much love, Phil

Hi Phil, nice to see you in here again. I did have a feeling that Ray Branch may have left the sanctuary but was not sure. It is a shame when things like this happen. From what I have read Ray Branch was a big part of the sanctuary and the work that harry Edwards did. I would of thought he would of been the ideal successor to Harry Edwards, then maybe he could of picked someone to follow him.
It makes me think of the group the white brotherhood that Omraam Aivanhov led for many years, when he died there was no successor, though Omraam himself was groomed to take over from Peter Dounov before him.
For me it is sad to see a group that basically revolves around watching videos of a man that died 20 years ago and practicing what he taught. For me the group lacks a leader that would of taken his word on further in this day and age. maybe similar to what has happened at the sanctuary,. What are your thoughts?

Hi - sorry I have not said much for a while - I've come and had a look - sometimes looking and smiling is a good approach.
Hmm - interesting thought about successors - I guess its obvious that if the message is greater than the person who delivers the message then it does not really matter who the messenger is.
On the other hand, some people seem to find that they are messengers by surprise and find that they are good at it - find that they didn't know for some time that they are even doing it.
You'll have guessed that I don't consider myself to be a spiritual person - and also perhaps that I am facing a challenge to that view of myself. A good message can infuse all of us - sometimes we just need to find a way to make our thoughts flow.
I guess that some people are a catalyst for that process - they become followed even if they do not try to lead. I wonder how many of those who are followed know how to lead - certainly many have lead their followers in a pretty crummy direction.
I have heard some of the tails about who might have followed Harry Edwards but I have only heard them from one side - and I'm afraid I tend to switch off to such discussions - it would be like getting involved in the daft arguments between my 5 and 8 year or children. It may one's turn with a comic, or the other's turn, but it doesn't matter a great deal - certainly not when its been ripped in two.
Listening is good - to yourself, to your friends, to people you don't really know, and to people you don't think you much like. Listen, absorb - filter out the rubbish - and share.
Wow - this site has a spell check - excellent, I hadn't spotted it before ..... sorry, easily pleased me.
