Hearing guidance?

Leon Question for you?

When I get up in the morning I say my protection prayer and then quite my mind and open for guidance. I wait for anything to come, when words come I repeat what I hear. Sometimes it makes sense to me and other times it may be qouts. Whould you say this is my spirit guide or my higher self or just my imagination? lol sometimes ill do this, then while driving in the car in the morning the lights will turn on in the car or the other day my car alarm would not come on which never happens.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this!

Dear Jess,

guidance comes in the most incredible way and when you ask for guidance you are actually asking for help from your higher self as well as your guides. Your higher self only kicks in when you ask for help and quiet your mind. I receive guidance in a myriad of ways including the words of songs, books, and people you meet, headlines in newspapers, numberplates on cars........example.....I was cycling along one day worrying about something, when a car flashed past me and the numberplate was ASK...so I did, and immediately the worrying went away and I felt happier. I have also had songs like LIVING ON A PRAYER play on the radio just after asking for help. Do not fear, help is always at hand if you ask. The car lights turning on happens when there is a surge of electricity, and that sometimes comes for overly active spirit, or just your own natural internal energies.

I too get messages from songs and signs,lol! Its kinda funny cause Ill be driving in the car and thinking about somthing and a song will come on the radio that will about what im thinkning or be of encouragement. Its amazing the different ways of guidence we receive. or I go to the book store and would have been thinking about something or starting to do something different in my daily life, wala a book right in front of my nose exactly what I just started to do or think,lol fun and exciting!

I would say in general the words that you get spoken to you, are your higher self. Guides seem to come and go. They may come for a short while just to protect us or guide us on our path. But they can not lead our path or be on it every step of the journey. For if they was what would we ever learn, as they would be doing all the hard work for you. They watch over us but keep a safe distance and will only help in times of need. Also our guides will change, just like our teachers at school change. When at school the older we get, our teachers change, if we take a different subject the teachers change. The same works in the spirit world so we will forever be getting new and different guides being attracted towards us. When thinking spiritually think of this old term " As above so below " By Hermes Trismegistus Basically saying what is in heaven is on earth and vice versa. This means we can use analogies of the earth to find out what it is like in heaven, as it is not that much different to earth than you think.

Hi leon,

Would you agree that higher beings (guidance that have not lived a physical life) and guidance or spirit who have not had a physical life for a very long time, would be more likely to communicate via thought rather than direct voice communication?(or other more suptle ways) Its just i have been led to believe that this is the case and i wondered what your thought on this was.

My current understanding of it is that, as you mentioned earlier, they cannot interfere in your physical life too much, only gentley guide or suggest things.

When i do get spirit communication it is usually in thought form, sometimes so strong you can practically hear it, but usually subtle. (even if it is a visiting spirit from the light rather than guidance.) It is sometimes hard to determine whether it is thought or direct voice.

Anyway, could I have your thoughts on this please?

Let us try to clear a few myths up here. All spirit can communicate, whether it be a guide or a past love one in the same way. Like on earth where we get strong minded people and weak minded people, we get the same in the spirit world. Some guides or spirit people are stronger at communication than others. Most mediums will see in pictures or thoughts, most of the time. When a medium says they hear spirit it is generally in their mind that they hear not externally. Some will hear and see externally but this is rare for a medium to see spirit this way all the time. Most mediums see and hear in their mind and see and hear externally once in a while. Now direct voice is A guide or spirit talking through a mediums voice box in the spirit person voice that they had when they were alive and not the mediums voice.

Leslie Flint was a direct voice medium and did hundreds of sitting where spirit spoke through him. If you click on his name there is a book about him. The difference between spirit voices and your own voice can only be distinguished by practice, you must give off what you get or write any thoughts down, over time you will realise there is a difference, for one spirit don't get anything wrong, your own mind will make mistakes. I will write more on this subject at a later date, I hope what I have said helps. God Bless

ps, We must also remember that guidance can come to us in many ways, like hearing a song on the radio for example. That happend to me a few years ago when I asked spirit about my past and why it happend, the song "Let it be" came to me. So true it was,xxx

Hi, Thanks both of you for your input.

I didn't realise that was what direct voice is! One of my closest friends is a trance medium, but her voice tends not to change much, the way she speaks does but not her voice - if you know what i mean. We trained together so I probably should of known that, ha ha!

I know what you mean about songs and things, I have had things like that in the past and as someone said earlier, songs coming on the radio at really appropirate times, it's good all good and valid.
