How does one enjoy the bliss of life? When one lives with the realization that one is not this body, then one does not get attached to things that bring misery. It is so easy to live a life of bliss if we live a life of the spirit. If we live life as the body we are, we create attachments, desires and disappointments day in and day out. But there is a way to follow those who are in everlasting bliss or Ananda.
Ananda or bliss can be enjoyed if we live the truth, not just by realizing it — the truth that our spirit is immortal. After all we know that life’s journey is short- that we come and go empty handed and that we can’t escape out of life alive, then why take things so seriously? Why should we make life a tussle and create tensions when nothing matters finally? If we realize and live knowing the true meaning of life, then we can live a life of everlasting bliss.

Go deep enough, and there is a bedrock of truth, however hard.

I have always been fascinated by the concept of we are not the body, And not only agree with it totally, but have had experiences to support it. But even still have a hard time been totally detached. One has to come from a very strong place, for their state of being not to be effected by what happens to the body. I have seen people inflict pain on the body, seemingly to no effect because of their detachment. But can't help feeling, if my right leg was to be removed, emotions would arise.
