Over the short while I've been here, I've been growing to love this spiritual forum! Perusing the various fora, I've learnt a lot, and very much appreciate the high standard of discourse that I find. But I feel there's something lacking... ... A Taoism forum! Taoism is, I believe, as much a spiritual path as any other. It has a system of ethics, though it's hardly prescriptive. It has an absolute, the Tao, though it is vague and unimposing. It has spiritual texts, and spiritual concepts like te and wu-wei. I have a special place in my heart for Taoism. I considered being a taoist, though a taoist might say that we all are taoists already, or he might just smile and offer you tea I'd like to write about Taoism in this forum, but where would I put it? Thoughts and suggestions would be much appreciated! Peace and love!

Unless a specific Taoist forum is created I think that Buddhism would be the best place. There is an affinity between the two anyway.

That's sort of like saying that since there is a Christianity forum, and there's an "affinity" between Judaism and Christianity, there's no logic in having separate areas for the two.
Taoism and Buddhism historically have been at odds with each other to a certain extent. For example, Shaolin martial arts are Buddhist in philosophy, whereas Wudang are Taoist in philosophy. I know Taoist people and I wouldn't suggest to them that they're a sub-set of Buddhism.
I know that having a section here on every possible religion could become too cumbersome. But I'd like to see one on Jainism and one on Zoroastrianism.

A quick answer to this, we could have forum sections for a million and one beliefs, but we have to draw the line somewhere. If they are not used often, it will just look dead. My answer is put the posts that do not fit into one of the set categories on the general spiritual board. That board is mainly for anything that does not fall within a specific religion or belief, but it can also carry anything that we do not have a sub section for.
