Is Man Still Evolving

Since man first came forth out of the now famous 'prebiotic soup' as is the scientific view. We have changed beyond all recognition. My question is, if man is still evolving, what do you believe, we look like, think and act, in another million years?

Physically I would find it hard to give a prediction as I believe our bodies will adapt to the outside environment. For example, if the earth does get hotter would it be possible that we may lose more hair. If we no longer use our bodies in such a physical way such as that of the caveman who went out hunting would the body lose muscle. Is it possible that our brain's would grow to accomodate more information to make up for lack of our physical presence.
I have become aware of a possible shift in the consciousness of humans at the moment. I do not know whether this started around 2500 years ago when there were many spiritual teachers about, 500 years later in the time of jesus or whether the evolving is a continuous developement which will never stop. Up until recently, I used to look on 2500 years as being a long time ago but when you are talking about the millions of years that the earth has been here it really is nothing. If that is the case, should there really be such a leap in consciousness between the now, and when Jesus or the buddha were around. If anything, although there are pockets of consciousness around which may be growing, I would say that the world community as a whole has lost some of its spirituality and relies so much more on sensory pleasures.
If I could pick and choose then it would be this. I would love wings, I would love to be able to fly with the birds. I would choose peace and tranquility where everyone leads a simple life and everyone respects each other without judgement, no matter who, what or where they are from. Instead of having pockets of awakening, the whole world and its inhabitants would understand the glory of life!!!

I say yes, they are evolving but in the wrong way, we evolve to get away from what God gave us, let's say in one word (natural) we try to do everything our self and we think we did better then what we had a 1000 year before, but our evolution will only bring us to death.

man could still be evolving but once one has reached a certain age, roughly 20 years, it stops being driven by natural events and from thereon must be driven consciously and deliberately.

Just a general answer to this question from my point of view. Being a practicing student of Esoteric Philosophy... I would have to say totally Yes.

Actually according to these teaching what takes place are vast cycles of experiences of multidimensional awareness ... both Involution ( From Spirit to Physical Matter) and Evolution ( Journey from lowest point of Physical Matter thru multidimensions and back to Spirit). The so-called Inbreath and Outbreath of the Universe and of Humanity.

It took us eons of time to reach so far as we are now and we have eons of time to evolve..and the states of consciousness we will grow into. We are just babies in evolution and the dormant faculties which Mankind will evolve into over time.

We will have an awakened multidimensional consciousness and with it eventual dawning it will bring lots of added abilities to connect on many states of consciousness and in new ways.

God created the lower worlds for us Souls to learn and evolve, man does evolve,and Soul is total conscousness, by looking within to Soul mans conscousness will expand. Our conscouness has expanded scense 2,000 yrs ago. Acording to Gods plan the earth will last after all the resorcess are depleated only so long,and man wont change to much more then we look now. God will take all the Souls that didnt make it to heaven and put them on the Soul Plane, and put them asleep, will rearanges the planets so they become liveble again and start the whol prosses again where Soul needs to learn and mature spiritualy, and find its Master to help it return home to become its coworker in heaven
