Burning letters

Hey there,
This is a dream that I could not understand completely, I hope its ok that I post it since there are also some pieces in it that are maybe not ok for younger members? Please tell me to remove sentences if its needed.

This was my dream:

I am in my living room, and my curtains are closed. Through the curtains I see the profile of a person walking up to my door, he knocks. I suspect its the neighbor, he is someone my age that has been showing interest in me, but I don't feel anything special for him other then friendship. I remember all this when he knocks again, and I feel a bit nervous, not sure if I want to open the door.

I see his profile moving, he walks to one of my windows and slips letters or something through one window that is slightly open. Some of them seem to be burning, smoke comes from them, which worries me.
Then I see his profile walking away, his body position and way of walking makes me think he feels angry.
I quickly walk up to the curtain and open it, I start knocking on the window to let him know I am home. But very loud music is playing outside, it sounds chaotic, many sounds all around him.
I knock harder and call his name, and now he looks back. He sees me, but then decides to walk on anyway. He is going home.

I walk to the things he slipped through the window. I see a plastic see-through box and there is some jewelry inside. Its old jewelry, as if it has been kept in there by someone for a longer time. There are earrings inside but the pairs are not complete. There is also dust inside, and a hair,.. it seems to be a very personal belonging from someone.
I decide to read the letters, to hopefully understand more. I now see one letter, and one flyer. I pick up the flyer and see a girl, some text and some images that are slightly disturbing. I dont read the text but I know its written by a friend of my neighbor, it says something about the death of his girlfriend. Its grief, but expressed with disturbing humor. I dont like it at all.
I turn over the flyer and on the other side there is more text, and more images. My eyes are drawn to one image on the left bottom. It shows a boy, that is about 8 years old, but not just a normal image. Its very shocking actually, not sure if I should write it. (tell me if I should remove it or something for young members).
The boy has been pushed into a toilet with his head, by an adult. It shows serious sexual abuse of a child, a young boy. But the image has been put on the flyer as a form of very sick humor. Not by my neighbor, but by the person that has made the flyer, his friend.

The image makes me feel completely shocked and I dont want to look at it. I close the curtains again, rip the piece of paper in pieces in an attempt to avoid knowing this picture.
When the flyer is in pieces, I suddenly feel guilty towards my neighbor, since he gave this awful flyer to me. He must have meant something with it. But still I dont want to know the image.
I feel confused, I dont understand the earrings in the plastic box, and the flyer is horrible.

The dream stops here I belief.. I do not remember more.

The words are about death. Death in dreams rarely is about a actual death. It is symbolic of transformation and old aspects of the person dying to make way for the new. Nothing stays the same. The text of the message, is extremely disturbing for you. But I feel that the message in this dream, is about letting go of something from the past.

What is done to the child in the images, is very graphic. It is about cruelly, violation and inflicting pain. Though the image refers to one particular thing, it maybe that its not about this being a specific event. That its more about what it represents. The loss of innocence. The pain and the affect it has had long term.

This is a very powerful dream Bumble, a mixture of symbolism here. For me I feel it is about letting go of the past. This is shown through the burning of the letters. The need to be burned and transformed. There are also clues within the dream, to the abilities you have, to help yourself. Being discerning, listening to your inner voice, daring to be more courageous and open. But this is your dream, and only you know if this is meaningful to you.
