Hi All Its my first thread so here goes... I just wanted to pass a question around to gather thoughts and interpretations... When I pray in my place of worship, which is virtually empty these days , I often sense that there are spirits or angels who appear and pray too. So a normal person would just see a few people gathered in prayers, but I see a completely full room with a mix of people and spirits. To me this is the biggest proof that spirits DO exist, but why show me this? Your thoughts would be appreciated Peace and blessings Khalil

Hi Khalil,
I don't think anyone is showing you anything......what you are seeing what is already there. This is a natural ability that you have. Some people may not have it, but you obviously do.
Enjoy the fact that you can sense what others cannot and that you are aware of these spirit people around you.
This is what being mediumistic or psychic is about.
Use this wisely and you will no doubt help many others along your pathway.
Peace and blessings to you also,
Rob

in a sense, Khalil, I think I understand what you mean by asking "why am I being shown this" - I think you mean that your eyes have been opened to this, or your guidance have shown you this....Rob is quite right in that it is an ability you have that not many people do have, and as such it is a natural ability and a wonderful thing. However, it is also something you are being shown by your guidance at your particular stage on your path. I have felt that I have been shown different things for different reasons on my path, perhaps this is the case with you? You may hear things next, for example, I sometimes do, but I have not really ever seen spirits in the way you do.
I hope this helps. It may also be that the energy in your place of worship is conducive to receiving the spirits of those who have passed over and are very holy. Perhaps this group of spirits is attracted by the holy atmosphere to the place where you worship. Places have special energies too.
I hope this is of help to you.

Hi All,
My real name is actually Khalil... khalif is just my username.
I understand that what I see are spirits, but my thoughts were purely on the question that I could have seen only one or two spirits yet I was amongst 200+ spirits in prayers... why?
It was a really heart warming experience because there was so much positive energy in the room. An experience I won't forget in a rush.
I take on what all of you say and many thanks for thoughts on the subject. I am actually beginning o hear things too...
- I hear one word whispers, such as "disappointment" at a recent job interview. That day I knew beforehand that I wouldn't get the job but I still gave the interview a shot, even then I didn't get the job.
- Sometimes I hear music which I associate with a spirit revealing that they are present. For example music my mum was very fond of.
- and of course there's conversations I have in thought everyday.
I never thought that my life become so spiritual ever, but my grandfather was a faith healer and an uncle too, so it’s in the blood. But I don't know which direction to take because my family are non-believers and even if they were believers would they understand what's happening?
Still my faith in my Lord God is without flaw and from He I seek guidance.
My Lord guide us always on the right path, a path to the light and fill our hearts with the light so that we may show others the right path. For surely you are Most Merciful, Most beneficent and Most Gracious. Glorified be My Lord God.
Peace and blessings
Khalil

you are a very special person Khalil, and I believe that although you are unsure now what path to take, if you pray and ask for guidance, a path will open up to you. I am where you are right now and feel the same way, being in an office job at the moment is not right for me, yet it is part of my learning...whatever you are doing right now is part of your learning too, and a more pertinent path will open for you.
I had another thought when I read your reply that perhaps the power of prayer attracted more spirits to the place...there is something in the bible I believe which says "where two or three are gathered together in my name there am I in the midst of them" - I believe this refers to God being in the midst of prayers, but maybe the spirits are attracted too...just another thought I felt I would like to contribute.
Good luck on your journey. I have not heard music, but I often hear songs which have a special meaning...
Love and light Lizzie xx

Hello Khalil I agree with what Rob, Lizzie and Kelly have said, you have a special gift. I think it is a combination of factors which is contributing to your continuing awareness and openness. Your devotion to God and your ardency in your prayer. This kind of way has been known to bring about experiences of religious ecstasy in Nun's and Monks. As you have said in your thread, although you do not "Meditate" your prayers, chanting in itself is a meditation to god, with incredible love and focus. You are opening up daily. I am sure that your prayers and devotions provide all the protection you need. But maybe Kelly may have some advice about this with regard to grounding. I sense that you may have a tendency to be ALL IN THE HEAD at the moment. This may cause you to feel light headed and slightly out of sync with every day life. This may not be the case with you.. its just a thought. I have been thinking about your church, it may be that there are so many spirits there because it is built on a place of power. For example ley lines. Many churches in Medieval times where built specifically on these sites. With such energy there, maybe it is a portal and its easily accessed by spirit. Another reason could simply be that although your congregation is small, it may have been much larger once, and they are members that have passed, simply paying you a visit. I feel very privileged to share in your awakening.. Love and light Karen

Hi Karen,
I am really devoted to God and I see what you mean about the Monk's and nuns. Also I think your right about myself being 'all in the head' at the moment as well but I can't myself.
If my problems at home are not enough, I work as a lecturer in mathematics in a college and you have to understand that it’s a very pressured atmosphere because no one likes maths. Loving God is what keeps me going despite all the pressures I have to face and the happiness I receive helps to cancel out all the negative aspects of my life.
In that respect, being light headed helps me to take the day with confidence and it also helps to build my confidence to teach whereas without it I would be barrel of nerves.
I feel that without God I am just an empty shell and His love in my heart keeps me happy and contented ...for I want nothing else in this life but to serve him.
Is it therefore such a bad thing to be a little light headed?
Peace and blessings
Khalil

Dear Khalil, If you are happy with where your head is.. then it is not a problem...The problem would be if you felt it prevented you from functioning on a normal level with your day to day for want of a better word, normal routine. From what you have just said, it is obviously not the case..it was just a thought!! If things change and become much more intense and it does trouble you..then you know there is a way of helping it!! I can't believe no one loves Maths ;D I'm afraid, I am a mathematical ignoramus..I am more of a word person.. but I am sure you are an excellent teacher and managing well under what seems to be very difficult circumstances. Love and light Karen

Hi Karen
Many thanks for your kind words. I'm sure I'll be OK, but since I don't drink its nice to be a little light headed sometimes.
Many people hate maths, but statistics do actually show that 3/4 of the UK whilst hating maths can actually do it adequately. We simply fear it or have got so use to using calculators that the thought of doing maths without it seems daunting. We sometimes need to do it just to prove to ourselves that we can do it and then we overcome that barrier.
Its just the same with our belief in our religion... it needs refreshing sometimes in order to keep it glowing inside us because we sometimes feel the magic is disappearing.
The journey of faith is like driving a car down a dirt track road with rocks in it.... sometimes you avoid the rocks by steering to the left and sometimes to the right, (signifying times when our faith falls or peaks) but whosoever keeps going and reaches their destination (without giving up altogether and choosing another route) is successful in this life and the next.
The trick is to realise that the light of God is always with us we just have to open our eyes and see it.
Peace and Blessings
Khalil
