I have been told by an astrologist that my dreams in the run-up to christmas are particularly pertinent in my spiritual learning curve. Last night's one left me with an unusual feeling.
I was moving into a kinda rough housing area, and there were some really tough elements, some young skinheaded lads and a ringleader, who was tall and commanding. I remember sitting on the edge of a bed in a huge dormitory full of people and these gang elements were trying to intimidate me. I was being extremely calm and refusing to be drawn into a fight, instead showing love and caring and compassion and sending out thoughts of love and nurturing to them mentally whilst trying to reason with them verbally. The tall ringleader guy was really getting shirty with me, and it was just making me calmer which was driving him nuts. Then, all of a sudden like a tap turned off, his agression vanished and he smiled and it was like the sun coming out. He embraced me warmly and all his mates thought he was mad, but followed suit, patting me on the back and saying "your way is our way". That sticks in my mind as being a wonderful feeling of acceptance and love and being needed.
I think this dream is about what we were discussing earlier - self love and acceptance of yourself. More than that, I think it is a reenactment of the biblical phrase "perfect love casts out all fears " (my quotation may be a little rusty!) but I have been praying alot for the ability to show compassion to those I do not like, and trying to be less judgemental. I think this dream was showing me that more can be achieved through love and patience than any aggressive means. I felt very uplifted when I awoke this morning.
What do you guys think?
