Eternity is one of my favorite topics to bring into any discussion.
This week while reading I came across the following scripture in 2 Corinthians 4:17
"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;"
I understand we all here are not of the same faith however I am delighted when I can find solid parallels with others of others faith. When I can find these commonalities, my belief of how closely related we are is strengthened. When I can illustrate how we believe some of the same concepts, I am delighted in the human race. I believe that we agreed in the preexistence to come here to earth to gain experience, this would be represented by the former half of the scripture that refers to our light affliction. I also believe the time we spend here is but a dot on the timeline of eternity, this being the latter half of the line. I am very interested to know who here can agree with me on those two concepts. Like I said, it is wonderful to me to find common ground with other faiths.
