One of the perennials in the wonderful world of spirituality is to look in the mirror. If you want to know what is going on you must first understand yourself. You find God by going within. You can't change the world but you can change yourself.
I suppose the first response of many is to picture the Jews marched into the gas chambers. Not a lot of choice there. At the time I first heard the accusation the victims of the Twin Towers 9-11 tragedy were victims by choice I was enraged. It all made sense only when I considered they all had and made decisions in past lives.
The whole concept of Karma and the Law of Attraction that is taught by the Masters is admitted - even by the teachers - deceptively easy to hear but difficult to understand. It is NOT something mortals take to by instinct. That segues into the common accusation people kill themselves by inviting cancer and not the other way around. That is good as far as it goes but from birth on we need to strive to survive. Indeed our first lesson in adulthood is Mommy won't always be around to feed us and we need to go out and forage for ourselves.
So being vicious takes it's toll. That's obvious. But is the secret to eternal life to be docile?
One of my pet peeves is to depict sweet innocence as our salvation as if acting like a scared kid was going to get us anywhere and everywhere. Odd that - at least in our little world - it is the predators ( human beings ) that have the intelligence to rule over nature and the power to ruin it and also the compulsion to save it. An interesting debate might be if God called all the rabbits to evolve to Masters or if He considered lions and tigers as prime candidates for Mastership.
Is it better to use naive untainted stock or work with the strong and savage hoping to mute the bad to get the good?
All I know is it takes a lot of courage to assume the world into existence. In the interim push and shove works quite nicely. But anyone can do well if they are in the right time and place and that doesn't mean you have any ability. I keep asking myself now what I would do and how I would act if I was the Master.
And how much sacrifice in the past I was willing to get there ....
