Having attended some local meetings and rubbed elbows with the members and hosts; having participated in some channeling; and of course some books and articles along the way I am beginning to understand a bit on how this works. Well the message is ever challenging but the messengers are falling into place. This might seem important in as much as it is assumed words of wisdom would emanate from good decent people. So to judge one and what they are saying might be one and the same.
But I find it isn't so easy.
One problem is the Masters want to teach and communicate but rarely in a esoteric way bordering on the miraculous. In other words: if a "skid row bum" is available with the right vibrations they get chosen to be the prophet. "By their works ye shall know them" but let's face it - nobody is perfect and even if they were time would slowly erode that. A thousand years from now politics and religion will change and evolve but the cosmic truths will remain stable.
Would you want to miss out on enlightenment just because the guide was a bull frog?
At one level we want to just go and not be laughed at or even preached to. I have experienced that. Tolerance but intellectual honesty and a sincere desire for the truth are indeed the defining moments that make it all worthwhile. In that way I do feel like I am part of a big extended family and the meetings seem more like family get togethers. But at another level the Masters do not judge nor are they vulnerable. We by contrast are so very much dependent and subject to change without notice. To be even more blunt: until you ascend you can easily forget your lessons on how to act decently and wisely.
If in doubt walk away. But keep in mind you will cross paths again if you are going in the same direction. By then if it was meant to happen it will be much more pleasant.
As for avoiding the monsters and cosmic predators all I can say is if you really believe you amount to anything it must follow you are getting some protection. Somebody or something is looking out for you. Nobody told me that as a kid and the concept is hard to accept now. I always thought that was a sign of weakness but now I am not so sure. Maybe we are not as isolated as I thought. I guess when you realize that then altruism and a desire to serve becomes more natural. But that is another story for another time ...
