What should I do?

Hi guys, I think this is my first post here. It's nice to meet you all.

I really want to 'progress spiritually' and I have a fascination of both the spiritual and paranormal. The trouble is I barely ever get to experience either of those things.

I follow the spiritual guru Mooji, and while I find his teachings great for finding peace, I'd also like to have paranormal experiences.

That might sound trivial but I feel that they reaffirm faith in the universe/God and that I'm on the right path. And that this planet we live on is a beautiful, mystical place and I want to experience that first hand.

I rarely have dreams about the future (usually sport results, lol) but I'd like to experience that on a more regular basis.

I've heard time and time again that you should taken certain drugs but unfortunately none are available to me, and I'm not much of a drug taker type anyway.

I try asking God to give me a sign but I never get one.

So, what shoud l I do? Hopefully this is the kind of forum where we can talk about this kind of thing.

The Rosicrucians use and recommend a slow and steady approach involving study as well as involvement in some group ( with them of course the Rosicrucians ) that enhances the progress as a sort of "group therapy". But in recent years it has been suggested the whole planet is changing esoterically and an increasingly larger and larger number of individuals are being born with inherited psychic abilities. Adding to that is the renewed interest in very old if not ancient methods of boosting your spiritual awareness using natural drugs. Ayahuasca is becoming popular where I live.

But this begs the question of who and what defines spirituality. It is good we have gone beyond the religious concept of sin and salvation but the New Age view we are so nice and beautiful belies are most important immediate task we have. Which is increasing our awareness and resolving the karma of what we realize we did. I have met people that are good with "parlor tricks" but who do not understand things spiritual any more then I do. Nor do they act any nicer then me.

Which leads into the most vexing question. WHY do you seek spirituality? And what abilities would most enable you to practice your spirituality and to who's benefit.

My two cents on your question... In some spiritual schools they really feel trying to obtain or use psychic abilities and or drugs is more of a useless selfish hindrance for many who go down that pathway... they don't say it can't be done.. yes, it can be done, but with a lot of wasted time , it can build up our ego which causes more karmic attachments and eventual suffering. The questions one must to ask oneself.... What and Why do you want from being on a spiritual path, What and Why do you want from life?

I think different people have different energy blueprints at different levels of their Being... some are naturally more conducive and connected to psychic awareness --- but also, as we naturally spiritually evolve dormant psychic qualities will naturally blossom in our being.    Hopefully when they do we will have learned to be less selfish and more service oriented to others and the world.

We get in life what our deep intentions are over time within are karmic blueprint.   Examining oneself outwardly and inwardly and what situations we are working with.   Are we just into using spiritual energies consciously or unconsciously for  our ego enhancement or are we following the natural evolution of our being aligned more and more with Higher Consciousness Awareness( Soul).   Meditate on finding what your unique spiritual talents are,,, and see if you can find ways of putting them into better practice.  The games (The Siddis in Sanscrit) and other stuff of the spiritual will come in their own time, if it is suppose to in this particular life.

Watch the subtle ways the ego wants to build itself up.
