One of the stock phrases in at least one of my local study groups - coming from a Master - is "you are not ready to hear that yet". That may be because of some potential shock or it may be just considering the level of the aspirant. It reminds me of the little kid begging for some privilege from an adult only to be told they have to grow up first. Well it starts there but surely goes on into adulthood and beyond. I have been asked by very old people to explain things that should have been obvious. If you don't get it then you just don't get it. Period. Somewhere between infantile and senility lies an adult period of life where we can know and digest things.
But it is all relative.
One of the things I miss from the old Fraternities is that Mind Set is the all. You get that by ritual and practice and last but not least being in a support group. Now we live in a "New Age" where the secrets of the ages can be downloaded onto your hard drive but that doesn't obviate the problem of mind set. Calling it being in sync, call it the Third Eye, call it going thru your initiation but the bottom line is you are only going to get what you are asking for. Hidden thoughts of revenge or ego play a part you may not have thought of.
Would it be nice to know what people are thinking so you would not hurt their feelings or let them take advantage of you? But then if you knew the truth it might disturb you. How could they think that of you? It is one thing to forgive the things people do to you but another to forgive their secret opinion of you. My exercises in developing clairvoyance has it roots very much in the present instead of predicting the future. The reason being although I am utterly intrigued by how it will all turn out the now and the present is all I have to experience. The more I know the more bitter I become. It should be the opposite. I should feel privileged to be granted such knowledge.
