We are already free. Seekers seeking liberation, seeking to be free, sadly don’t realize that they are already free, because the mind does not permit them to think that they are free. The mind uses the ego, the sense organs and itself to make them feel imprisoned; prisoner to pleasure, power, possessions. The mind wanders. It distracts. The senses attract, create desires, cravings and a sense of freedom, which in its true sense is lost.
We don’t need to acquire freedom; we are already free. We only need to drop the imaginary chains that chain us - the imaginary chains that become a part of the illusion samsaar. The illusionary maya, mythiya make us feel that we are prisoners. Therefore, it is not that something needs to be done to be free, to be liberated. We just need to acknowledge, realize who we are. We are that. We are not this. The moment we feel we are this, we are the body imprisoned, but the moment we feel we are that - in a moment, the freedom is realized and we don’t have to do anything to acquire liberation.
Therefore, it is up to us to drop this feeling of bondage, this feeling of seeking liberation. Why seek liberation when you are already liberated?

Hi Air, The whole idea we have of ourselves did not happen overnight nor did our beliefs about the world around us. The beliefs you have expressed make sense, but for many this will only be on a surface level. Something they can understand with their intellect, but not at the deepest level where it can help them to change their perception, and emotional reactions to life. The process of achieving that state of awareness comes, only after much soul searching. A letting go of assumptions gained second hand and through their previous perceptions of the world. A journey no one else can take for them. I believe that the journey of self awareness is different for everyone. Becoming liberated means thinking for oneself, and not taking on board someone else's realizations at face value, no matter how well meant and meaningful they are, without investing time and effort in thinking it through for themselves. There is no doubt we can be 'sign posts' for others. Maybe give them a hint of a different way of being. But no more than that. I would love to know more of your personal story. From the waking up period of knowing on some deep level of yourself, that what you believed and how you viewed the world was distorted in some way. The desire you then had to liberate yourself? Now this for me is where the contradictions appear. We are told we don't have to strive or search. We are perfect as we are. Then in the next breath, we are told we have to un-learn everything, to let go. Which is actively changing. Can you see where I am going with this. If we are perfect as we are. Then why do we have to change who we are? This is why I see the whole coming to spiritual awareness as being a active process. Can I ask in what way this change in perception, has changed you. Can you tell me if it has helped you live a more peaceful, happier life? Has it taken away some of the fears that you'd previously had. Does it impact on your personal relationships and in what way. I would appreciate your feedback on this, because I think it will help others to take what you say and see it in a more normal day to day perspective. Rather than simply from the standpoint of someone promoting their spiritual beliefs, purely on an intellectual level. In other words, its more about how and why you feel as you do, rather than a simple fact of this is what you believe. Flesh on the bones of it so to speak. Love and light Kaz

Dear Sparklekaz, Earlier known as Ravi V Melwani, a very successful retail businessman who revolutionized modern retailing in India, I realized after making millions that life is not just about making money. I then shut down my business and instead of making money I started making a difference with H.I.S work – Humanitarian, Inspirational and Spiritual work. My objective was to make a difference in this world before this journey was over. I was the happiest man on earth living my Philosophy of “Rejoice, Value Life and Make a Difference”. However, one day I got a flash which made me ponder as to what is the purpose of life. Is life just meant to seek happiness… To live and to die? What happens after death? Will we be reborn? Where is God? Where is Heaven? Are we the Soul? What is Enlightenment? Several questions like these took me on a ‘Talaash’ or a Search for the Truth. After a few years of intense search in silence, deep in the mountains, I realized that we are not this body, we are the Atman. We are the Soul. Thus, started my journey as AiR – The Atman in RVM or the Soul in RVM. The word AiR also matched the dictionary definition of invisible substance and so it coincidently matched my name that I am nothing but an invisible power that gives life in the human body. My study of the Atman, God and of Life led to several realizations which become the mission of my life – to realize God and to help Seekers realize God. AiR

Hi Air, Thank you so much for your reply. You said, "My objective was to make a difference in this world before this journey was over. I was the happiest man on earth living my Philosophy of “Rejoice, Value Life and Make a Difference”." I find those words very inspirational. This is something I try to do myself, in my own limited way. I can see, that you share your thoughts and beliefs as a selfless act of love. To help others if you can. For that I thank you.
You said " However, one day I got a flash which made me ponder as to what is the purpose of life. Is life just meant to seek happiness… To live and to die? What happens after death? Will we be reborn? Where is God? Where is Heaven? Are we the Soul? What is Enlightenment? Several questions like these took me on a ‘Talaash’ or a Search for the Truth." I know those are the questions many have started to ask themselves. Indeed, it feels as I have been thinking about those things, my whole life. Can I ask, what was it like, living up there in the mountains? I love being in nature, and have a strong sense of affinity with the natural world and the elements. It is when I am in that environment, that I feel closest to God. Or aware of the God spark within me resonating with what is without.. if that makes sense.
Even as a little girl, I was aware that what I was seeing around me, was only the ripples on the surface, of something far deeper.I can see now as an adult, that an element of this was as a child trying to understand adult interaction and meaning I was too young to understand. But I was also aware of something else, deeply profound. That on a deep level, that there was an energy, a presence that infused everything. A dynamic that was unknowable. This was purely on a sensing level, not on an intellectual one. I simply accepted its presence, even though I wished that I could understand it. Sometimes I wish that I still that child, with the mind not distorted by ego, fear and attachment. I still have that sense of wonder, but not the innocence, that doesn't question, just simply accepts. It was so much easier then. It is not easy as an adult to allow attachments to drop away, because as we grow up, they become like a second skin. And so the peeling away can be difficult and at times painful.
You came to your realization on the mountain, that we are not this body, we are in your words, "we are the Atman. We are the Soul." I completely agree with you; this body is but the shell, the vehicle, the engine that conveys our essence, at this time, in this place. But I am also aware that this body, cannot contain all that we are; our spirit/soul resides within and without - connected to all things, at all times. And it is when we have those moments of realization. Even if it is only for a few seconds, we realize who we truly are. There is this immense feeling of oneness and it can be overwhelming. Once this realization happens I believe we are forever changed. The sleeper awakens. And this is why, I truly feel, that although we can share, inspire and help others. Indeed I believe that is part of our path. To be a lamp, a light to illuminate the way. But.. we cannot help them to 'find God', the coming awake, the realization of who we truly are, has to happen from within. We are The Keyhole, and We are The Key.
Thank you again for sharing. Love and light Kaz
