There once was a King, he had a vast kingdom, he was wise and just, but had no children, having lost his wife and with the arrival of old age, he gave serious thought, to whom would take over his kingdom.
He decided he would select someone who was fit from among his own people, but first he would put them through six months training of the Royal ways, and those deemed fit would meet the King for the final interview.
People applied in their hundreds, first they would learn about the Royal baths, then move onto the Royal clothes and jewellery, next the Royal horse stables, from here they would move on and learn about politics and finally learn about religion and meditation etc.
One week before they final interview, the King made enquiries to see how progress was been made.
The Kings men went to the baths, there were many people there,
they cried, "what are you doing, you should have moved on by now,"
The people were enjoying themselves, they had even set up business, massage, swimming.
They told the Kings men to thank the King, but that they were happy here, and offered their business cards, with discount for the King.
The Kings men went to the clothing section, same thing, people here were happy, set up business selling clothes and jewellery, no intention of moving on.
Same thing again in the stables, with horse riding schools, etc, they quickly went to see how those in the politics section were, to their dismay everyone was fighting and arguing, totally baffled they went to the meditation chamber, where the King himself goes to meditate, where he strips of everything including his clothes and thoughts, but there was no one there, no one, what would they tell the King.
On hearing all this the King was baffled, what went wrong, "are you sure no one was in the meditation chamber,"
"no one, my King, well only the cleaning boy,"
The King thought, and asked that the cleaning boy be brought to him.
He then asked the boy what he was doing in the meditation chamber.
To which the boy replied, he had been cleaning since a very young age, and that he cleaned everything in there.
The King replied, "I have never seen you in there,"
The boy replied, "I stay to the side, out of view and quite when the King is present."
The King asked, "and what do you see."
To which the boy replied, "I see that the King enjoys all these things, the baths, the clothes and jewellery, his fine horses and his kingdom, but when in the meditation chamber all these things are cast down, they mean nothing to the King, it is my favourite room."
I think you know the ending.
