Why do people incarnate? Well that is a loaded question - assuming there would need to be a reason for anything. If that was possible and we decided before hand what sort of life we wanted then it might follow said lofty powers would be of divine origin or at the least divinely inspired. No wishing to be the world emperor or the one that broke the bank. Because he OWNED the bank. Only lofty pursuits allowed. Besides why would you wish for something physical gratifying in the non-corporeal state?
Even more to the point is why immerse yourself in the wonderful world of want and neglect from the enviable state of feeling no hurt or pain?
"It is suggested" all this is just an illusion but the memories are still very real. Born of experience at some time and place we existed. If that is so then the experience is the all and can not be denied. To distill life to nothing more or less then experience seems paradoxical when to get that one becomes so physically vulnerable. Survival cries out for possessions and security. But then what do we take with us over the eons?
I get very perplexed in my local study group because they are practically all girls obsessed with families and personal relationships. To me - hearing that - I feel like the ancient prophet observing a flying saucer. One can see but not comprehend. Then it becomes incomprehensible and yet it must exist. To me it is like studying all the internal organs of a human being and knowing which did what but being unable to have a meaningful conversation with one because human psychology was beyond you. Or vice versa.
I think I have began to figure it all out. Some just want to be mommies and daddies in perpetual and others are technical types. To some knowledge is supreme and for others to nurture or be nurtured is sublime. Build or just inhabit. Some people make the machines and others just buy and sell them for a living. At some level in the wonderful world of spirituality one set of skills might be deemed more likely to lead to success and it probably isn't building bridges. But at another level the "soft skills" deny us the very hands on sense of the physical.
Things physical can be very thrilling. It is an experience your not likely to forget. Just try to remember what is behind it and makes it all go.
