We live in a two bed flat, one is used as a bedroom, the other for prayer and meditation. Been a spiritual type, I like ritual, it sits well with me, it feels right, it feels respectful. when ever I can, I will always pray and meditate before doing Reiki, it seems to put me in the zone more. I would like to share one session we experienced. Most times doing a hands on session, I connect to a milky white realm, not always, but usually, when completely in the zone. In this zone there is contact with other beings, I can not see then fully, only a vague outline, but am fully aware of their presence, I can see myself there in conversation, to the extent when I open my eyes to change hand position, I'am slightly surprised to be there, beside the client. After completing a session and getting feedback from my wife, She reported feeling very light, and had this floating feeling, she also stated, she was standing at the door to the second bedroom and on looking inside saw me in the lotus position meditating. This kind of info does strange things to the mind. maybe I should have titled this "mojo gone mad", but if I'am, my other half seems to be also, and there is comfort in that.
God Bless.

Hi Robert, The description you give sounds like your zone, is a medititive state that allows you to lose the sense of self and become a very effective channel for the healing energy. In this state you seem to be aware of other levels of awareness, the astral I'm guessing. I don't find it always happens this getting in the zone state. But when it does the healing energy really comes through powerfully. I know when it doesn't, its because 'I'm' getting in the way. In this heightened state of awareness, I have been aware of other presences around me. But rarely see them clearly as you seem too. It's more of awareness and knowledge that doesn't need vision, if that makes sense. There have been two presences, that I feel have helped me over time. One is very much for helping with thehealing , the other seemed to be for me personally to help with my own spiritual evolvement. It's hard to describe. Almost like being attuned vibrationally in spirit. The healer guide seems to be of native american origin. ( I know everyone seems to have a native american guide. I sometimes feel embaressed that I'm jumping on a cliche bandwagon.) The second, is for want of a better description, a being of white who carries a tall staff. And his name is Alphin/Alphun. I haven't seen either of them for some time. But Alpin told me he was always around and would only come closer when I was ready or needed him. But that I would not ask until the time was right. My ego/mind would not ask, it would be my spirit/higher self. I haven't thought about any of this for a long time. So thank you. Your not mojo gone mad at all. Very sane I'd say. Keep up the good work. Love and light Kaz

Hi Kaz, Yes, I agree, a mediative state does seem to allow the energy to flow better, this was further strengthened when we did distance healing. I was absolutely blown away by the power of distance work, my only reasoning for this, is concentration not been broken when moving hands, but staying in the mediative state using visualisation, allowing a much stronger connection. Problem is to be in a meditative state for that length of time, I have to keep pulling myself back to stop going into a semi trance state. Beatrice on the other hand will go into a semi trance state very quickly, we do not know if this is down to her medication or not, guess it saves scouring the countryside for peyote, but I totally agree with you, it must set the self completely aside, allowing a better conduit. I want to look into this in more depth, as it has completely grabbed my attention, and ties in with dreams and visions, I've had in the past, you know when you get that feeling, there is something more here, or you can go further with this. Thank you for sharing about the presences you have felt, I know this is personal for most people, I either connect with another realm, or a presence will stand by my right shoulder, not all the time, but you know your there, when it does. Given that Reiki allows contact with spirit to aid healing, I have often thought, is it a form of Shamanism. Then I looked up Mikoa Usui, and the meaning behind the names, Miko, is a Japanese word for Shrine maiden, shaman. Usui, Pestle and mortar, used for grinding herbs, medicine. Is Reiki a form of Japanese shamanism.

It is an interesting thought Robert, one which I too would like to explore further. I too was amazed at the power of distance healing, when I did my second attunement. Before hand, I had been dubious about its effectivity. I think I thought of it in terms of positive thinking, rather then having the power to influence. To connect with another person's energy so completely over distance, seemed unlikely. But boy was I wrong. In some ways I believe it is more powerful then healing in person. For with distance healing, there are not the distractions that come from having someone in front of you. It proved to me unequivocablly that distance is no barrier.
Is it the words or the symbols that give the intention such power. I have always believed in the power of words, but only so far as in how they can evoke a response in the person they are directed towards. In Ancient Egypt the scribe was highly respected, for it was believed that the symbols were the gift of the gods, that within them they held the power of the sun, light, justice, truth, healing etc. I believe that symbols have the power to unlock what is already within us and amplify it. As do words. They enhance, bring out that which is there. Add to it our own sincere intention and it unleases and directs the healing energy that we are channeling wherever it needs to go.
Beatrice is a natural adept I would say, and that she is simply re-remembering something she has done many times in long ago places. When you were speaking of her I got a very vivid image of her in robes as a priestess. Remember also having to tolerate such pain and discomfort for a long time, in itself is training ground for being able to release the mind from the body. I doesn't surprise me at all that she is so good at slipping the physical bonds when meditating or preparing herself to be a healing channel.
Love and light Kaz
