Dear friends Once again I apologise for my absence from the forum but I am so busy right now and life is really wonderful for me. I want you all to know though...although I am not here at the moment...I wanted you all to know that every single morning and evening you are all in my thoughts and heart. I do miss you all but in the meantime I should like to share with you this beautiful touching poem by Joyce Kilmer and sung by the wonderful Mario Lanza...enjoy. Love and Light to each and everyone of you

How beautiful I've always liked the poem but never imagined it to music; this is a Good Fit because of the emotional energy conveyed both by Lanza and by the orchestra. Words and music together become Extra powerful Thanks for sharing! Mary Anne

Hi Lorraine, Don't worry, take your time. As you once said, we (Karen, Gruntal, you and I) are bound to support each other somehow. Besides, I have only a few friends left now. And you are one of them. :-) P.S. Hmm....how come do you think of us only "every single morning and evening" while we think of you in the lunch time, too?

After watching that old video Lorraine, the old song Beautiful Dreamer jumped into my mind. There is no video on youtube, not with a singer from the 19th century anyway, but if you click this link you will hear one of the most beautiful songs ever. Click to Listen to Beautiful Dreamer Click serenades then beautiful dreamer when the page loads.

Dear Mary Anne, thank you for your lovely comment and so lovely to hear from another heart that understands the vibrations of music and lyrics. Welcome and I hope to catch up with you when I return My Dear sweet friend Monty, I have missed you, kaz and gruntal so much, and I do think about you all often. I cant wait to catch up with you all and fill you all in on what I am doing. I have to say I feel the happiest I have felt for a long time and lots of good things are happening for me right now. I promise you though, we will always ALWAYS be friends, chat soon Hi Leon, WoW...thank you for posting the link and it is indeed a lovely rendition of the song and one I have never heard before so I thank you so much for going to the trouble of getting the link for me Now, for my confession...I listened to it 3 times and each time I wanted to fall in love with it, but alas it just did not move me the way I was expecting it to. This song is so beautiful on so many levels and brings back such beautiful memories of my Dad humming it to me as a young child, but I guess I am just used to Roy Orbison singing it I cant help but go back to his much slower paced version...I guess his version is what I was used to listening to as a child. I have included the youtube link below...but I just wanted to thank you because by you reminding me of the song and me hearing it again...filled me with lovely memories of my dad and of the happy times we had together. Thank you very very much

I am glad you liked it, it is probably a little dated but what do you expect when you hear a recording about 120 years old. A few have had a go at it, but the one I showed is the original. Roy Orbison does a good job of it.
