I woke up around 11pm because of a dream I was having. My husband was standing not too far from me. He told me he was gay. He then stood next to a man who was gay. I woke up right away very upset wondering if it was true. (course I know it isn't) I did have some sweetly decadent candy a few hours before going to bed. Maybe that's part of it?

Dear Rosemary, thanks for posting your dream. I will do my best. Dreams are symbols, not reality. Very rarely do they literally mean what they say. In older times, gay simply meant being really happy and cheerful. I think this is what your dream means. He is close friends with some guys, not gay. You were very upset about that for your own reasons. Explore the reasons the dream made you feel really upset - this is more about your feelings on the matter rather than your husband actually turning out to be really gay! You were really upset for a reason, and only you know why. Get out a notebook and write down some ideas which pop into your head when you "free associate" with the dream again. Close your eyes, and take yourself back to the dream, then just write and see what pops up.......let me know and we will see if we can explore this further.
